Apr 10 8:49aBlackburn (forearm) has started throwing, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ImpactBlackburn underwent surgery on his forearm in January and it was initially thought he could be ready for the start of the season, but there's still no timeable for his return. Blackburn was removed from the 40-man roster last fall after a second consecutive terrible season (7.08 ERA). He'll stick around with the Twins owing him $5.5 million in the final year of his contract and add depth at Triple-A, but it's still possible he could get a chance in the majors again.
