Heyward (appendectomy) went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in his return to the lineup Friday.

Impact
Heyward got right back in the swing of things, doubling off the Dodgers' Hyun-Jin Ryu in his second at-bat and later driving in Andrelton Simmons with two out in the seventh. He had just one multi-hit effort in his first 17 games before the appendectomy, so perhaps this is a sign Heyward will be able to turn things around now that he's healthy.
