Lutz was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday.


Impact
The Mets were pleased with Justin Turner's recovery from a calf injury, so he'll be up with the club for Opening Day as a backup infielder, sending Lutz to the minors. Lutz is an older prospect and doesn't seem on track to find a starting opportunity at any point in the near future with Ike Davis and David Wright both mainstays at the corner infield spots.
