May 20 11:53aHosmer went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI, a run scored, a stolen base, and a walk during Sunday's loss to the A's.
ImpactThe season trudges along for the the underwhelming Royals first baseman. Through 16 games in May, he is batting .254 with one home run, four RBI and seven runs scored. In addition to the one long ball, he has just one double and one triple for a disappointing .095 ISO for the month. With such minimal production and an apparent lack of growth, Hosmer has become one of the more disappointing up-and-comers and is barely worth a fantasy roster spot as a corner infielder. If he doesn't find a way to break out soon, the Royals could begin to seek out alternatives at the position.
