After a recent MRI on his right shoulder, Worley has been "sent home," according to general manager Terry Ryan.
A September call-up had already been ruled out for Worley, who last pitched for the Twins on May 22. Eventually, shoulder inflammation sent him to the minor league disabled list in mid-July, which has lingered long enough to end his season. In his first year with the Twins, he started 10 outings, going 1-5 with a unsavory 7.21 ERA, 1.99 WHIP, and 25:15 K:BB ratio in 48.2 innings.
