D'Arnaud (thumb) began his rehab assignment Thursday night at High-A Bradenton, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Impact
D'Arnaud hit lead off and went 0-for-3 before being removed in the bottom of the sixth inning. It seems as though d'Arnaud simply got his work in before exiting, and there's no concern of another injury. He'll likely join the Pirates bench in mid-to-late June.
