Jackson (calf) was demoted to Double-A Tennessee on Monday, MLB.com reports.
After hitting .175 in 120 at-bats for the Cubs last season, Jackson appears to have taken another step back this season. In 229 Triple-A at-bats, he hit just .214 with 23 RBI and six home runs. Jackson is dealing with a nagging calf injury that cost him much of the month of July, so the move could be geared toward boosting his confidence.
