Teaford was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Monday, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reports.


Impact
A shoulder injury forced Teaford to miss time this spring and he ended up appearing in just two games while in big league camp. He's set to again open the year at Omaha, but the 28-year-old could a chance down the road if the Royals decide they need a lefty arm.
