ImpactOwings put together a solid .324/.342/.568 spring batting line, but he could probably use some more seasoning in the minors, and the Nationals don't have a need at first base or in the outfield. Owings is a former pitcher who hopes to make it back to the big leagues as a position player. Even as a pitcher, he was always known for his hitting ability more than his pitching.
