[+] What is Fox Fantasy Baseball?
FOX Fantasy Baseball is designed to help you create and manage your very own fantasy league online.
It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned fantasy baseball veteran or a rookie; fantasy baseball is always fun, easy, and exciting to play. In private leagues one person, "The Commissioner," (think Bud Selig or David Stern) sets up all the rules of the league, like roster sizes, scoring system and playoff format. This person also chooses which type of game your league will play: Rotisserie, Total Points, and the varying versions of Head to Head. More importantly, the Commissioner invites others to join the league as team owners. But if you're new to the game and just trying to get your feet wet, public leagues are available that set up the rules and conditions of play automatically for you, no work needed!
Whether in a public or private league, when the season begins, FOX Sports Fantasy Baseball does all the number crunching for you. It will keep track of every team's rosters, the scoring of games, standings, and much more. You are left with the personnel decisions: who to start, who to sit, who to trade, and how to win.
[+] What makes Fantasy Baseball games so popular? Why should I play?
More than 10 million people play Fantasy Baseball games each year, but why? Here are a few reasons:
- It's easy to play - You're a Baseball fan, right? Well, then you already know the game.
- You get to own your own team! That's right, you create a team of actual Major League Baseball players. You decide who to start, who to sit, who to trade…everything!
- It makes being a fan more fun - Sure you have a team that you root for every week. But imagine how much more fun it would be if your office or home bragging rights were on the line, and you actually had a say in the game.
- It's competitive! Let's face it; sports fans are competitive by nature. Unless you want to slap on the tar pine and face a 100MPH heater, fantasy baseball games are the perfect outlet to get the competitive juice flowing. Can you think of anything better than beating your brother? Or your best friend? Or your boss? We didn't think so.
- Fantasy Baseball games are addictive (in a good way, trust us) - Play it once and you'll be hooked.
[+] What is the fantasy schedule like and how much time do I need to commit?
Fantasy Baseball tracks each of your player's games right along with the MLB schedule. Each week your team will compete through a head-to-head, rotisserie, or total points format against another team from your league (just like MLB).
Your time commitment is really up to you. While there are some owners who only spend a few minutes a week setting their starting lineups and checking stats for their players, others spend hours pouring over free agents, trade possibilities, and roster moves. As a result, we have made it easier for you to decide your own level of involvement in the game. If you are looking for something more casual, you may want to decide to create or join a league with weekly roster changes instead daily roster changes. If you are looking for a more involved level of game play, go ahead and try a league with daily roster changes. No matter what, at the end of the day, it's all about having fun.
[+] What are the costs for FOX Fantasy Baseball 2008?
The best part of FOX Fantasy Baseball may be the price. Create or join up to five leagues, get live scoring and MLB action, all for free. We do all the work! Spend your time, not your money with FOX Fantasy Sports.
[+] Are there league prizes for FOX Fantasy Baseball?
Currently, there are no prizes awarded in FOX Fantasy baseball leagues. But remember, you are fighting to win your league's championship and all the bragging rights over friends, colleagues, and game players from across the globe that comes with it.

[+] How do I join a league?
Joining a league takes just a few quick steps and you're off and running. First, sign in and proceed to the FOX Fantasy Baseball Front Page. From there select the "Join a League" button, which will take you to the Join a League page.
On the Join a League page you are given three choices of league types to join; Private, Published, and Public. Here are the differences:
- Private League: To join a private league you have to be invited by the league commissioner. The commish should provide you with a league ID and password for you to join the league. Private leagues are not open to the public but can be created by anyone who wishes to compete against friends, family, or coworkers.
- Published League: Published leagues are Private leagues that have been made public to fill open slots. This is great for the Fantasy Baseball participant who wants customized scoring not offered in Public leagues.
- Public League: A great option for both new and veteran Fantasy Baseball players, public leagues use the default league configuration (scoring, league rules, roster settings, etc.) set by FOX Sports. Selecting this option automatically places you in a public league with your choice of draft type: live or automated.
Once you have selected a league type, you will be prompted to create your team. After filling out your team name, team abbreviation, and choosing your email preferences, click the continue button and you're ready to begin preparing for the draft! Note: If you have chosen to join a public league you will be prompted to select the time and date of your draft.
[+] How do I create a league?
After creating or signing into an existing Windows Live account, the next step is to create a league. To do so, simply sign in to FOXSports.com and proceed to the FOX Fantasy Baseball Front Page. From here select the button marked Create a League.
On the "Create a League" page, you can begin to enter your league's information. After entering your league name and password, you have the option of choosing scoring system you'd like to have.
During the season, teams will compete using one of three types of scoring systems: rotisserie, points-based, head-to-head.
- Rotisserie: In Rotisserie leagues, each team in the league is ranked from first to last in each stat category used by the league. Points are then assigned to each team based on their ranking in each category. The sum of the points assigned in all categories is used to determine a team's place in the overall league standings.
For example, in a 12 team league, the team with the most HRs earns 12 points, the second place team earns 11, the third 10, and so on. A team's overall rank in the league is determined by the total of the points earned across all stat categories.
- Head-to-Head: In Head-To-Head leagues, each team will play against one other team each week to see who can compile the best stats across all of the stat categories. A team wins a particular stat category if the team earns more of that stat than the team's opponent. A head-to-head win can be determined by either the most fantasy points scored across categories or the most categories a team wins.
- Total Points: In Total Points leagues, teams earn fantasy points based on their players' performances in real-life MLB games. Points-based leagues can be played with weekly head-to-head matchups or with teams ranked based on cumulative season totals.
[+] Why has my team not been placed in a public league yet?
If you are experiencing a delay being placed into a public league please don't worry. It is normal for delays to occur during this process. As long as you have pre ranked your players or at least put your status as "Ready to Draft", you will be placed into a league and at that point can begin your season.
[+] Can I reset my draft if I'm dissatisfied with the results?
Yes. If you are a league commissioner of a private league and are dissatisfied with your draft results, just go to Commish Tools and under Draft Management click the "Draft Reset" button. After confirming your choice your initial draft results will be cleared and set to offline. Note: Only commissioners of private leagues can reset the draft. Public league drafts cannot be reset.
[+] What type of scoring system should I use?
The right scoring system comes down to your league's personal preferences. Some leagues like to have a system that focuses on scoring (Hits, Homeruns, etc.), while others like to focus on performance (stolen bases, on base percentage, etc). For others, the best system falls somewhere in between. FOX Fantasy Baseball allows you to construct your own league scoring system or to choose the default scoring system. This system is the standard for most new leagues, combining both scoring and performance principles without getting too complicated. Either way, there are three basic league scoring systems you can use, Rotisserie, Total Points, and Head-to-Head.
After selecting your league scoring system, you will fill in your team information and email preferences. At this point you can choose which type of league setup you prefer – custom or express. An express setup immediately creates the league using FOX Sports default settings. You can always go back and changes these settings. A custom setup takes you through a more detailed league setup outlined below.
[+] Can I import player rankings from my other fantasy team?
Yes. Importing players is a quick and easy way to get your next team ready to draft. To import your draft rankings go to your Draft Rankings page for the new team that you want to pre rank. Select the "Edit" button on the Draft Rankings page. From here you will see a drop down on the top of the players list named "Import Rankings." Use this drop down tab to select the team you would like to import your rankings from. Just click Save Player Rankings after the player table populates with your rankings and you are ready to draft!
[+] How many teams can you have in Fox Fantasy Baseball?
You are allowed up to five free FOX Fantasy Baseball teams for 2008. We do all the work! Just sit back and enjoy the game while we do the rest.
[+] Can a commissioner draft for an owner unable to attend the scheduled draft?
No. At this time there is no way for a commissioner to draft for another owner. An owner should use draft pre-rankings to give themselves the best chance to land the players they want.
[+] Can I delete a public league team?
You can delete a public league team all the way up until you have drafted. Once your public team has drafted there is no way to delete that team. However, remember with FOX Fantasy Baseball you can draft up to five teams, all for free!
[+] How do I publish my private league to public?
Short on owners? Publishing your private league is a great way to fill out your league and stiffen the competition. To do so, first go to your Commish Tools and click Publish League under League Management. From here, click the button to publish your league, set the restriction level (High or None), and then click in the text box if you wish to add a note about your league for potential owners. Click the submit button to finish up and get your league out there! Note: Once you publish your league to the public there is no way to once again make it a strictly private league.
[+] What is the restriction level on the Publish Your League page?
The Restriction level offers Commissioners a little more flexibility in choosing who they let into their league. When you set your league to High Restriction Level, you have the option of allowing potential owners into your league. If you do not use a High Restriction level any owner wanting to join the league is able to.
[+] How do I invite owners to my league?
After your private league has been created, you will have the option to invite friends to own one of the teams in the league. . The Invite Owners link in the Commish Tools page will take you to the "Invite Owners" page. In the text box on this page, enter the email addresses of all the owners you wish to invite (just remember to separate each address with a comma). Hit the "Send Invitations" button at the bottom of the screen and a league invitation with sign-up instructions will be sent to each of the email addresses you specified. From there the owner will be allowed to setup their team and join the fun!

[+] What type of draft should I use?
There are three basics draft types for FOX Fantasy Baseball: Live Draft, Automated Draft, and Offline Draft:
- Live Draft: The live online draft is one of the best parts of the Fantasy Baseball season. Just like a real draft, your fantasy draft pits you against the other team owners in your league in a live baseball draft situation. You and the other members of your league join your Live Online Draft Room application at the specified time (chosen during league creation), and make your picks in real-time. The Online Draft Room keeps track of the time for each pick, each team's roster, and which team is currently on the clock. In the event that one or more owners cannot make your scheduled Live Draft Time, their picks will be made automatically by the computer based on those owners' pre-draft player rankings.
How Live Drafts Work Once the draft begins, the Owner with the first pick in the draft will be on the clock. The Owner must draft a player before the allotted time runs out. Once a player is drafted the Owner who picks next is on the clock. The draft order follows a ladder or "snake" order of drafting. In a 12 team league the first round order would be Team 1, Team 2, Team 3...etc. In the second round, the order would reverse and would be Team 12, Team 11, Team 10...etc.
As the draft progresses you will be able to see each team in your league fill out its roster. Feel free to offer up your opinion of draft selections in the chat room within the Live Draft application.
- Automated Draft: In an Automated draft the drafting is handled for you by the FOX Sports automated draft process. All picks for each team in the league are made by the computer based on each team's pre-draft player rankings. The order behaves just like a live draft (see above) with the computer drafting a player for one team and then drafting a player for the next team based on the remaining players. If you select an Automated draft be sure to set your player rankings so you have a better chance of getting the players you want.
- Offline Draft: If you're able to get everyone in your league together in person for your draft, an Offline Draft is the best way to draft. Nothings better than calling our your friends' poor draft selection to their face. During and offline draft your league Commissioner keeps track of the players drafted to each team. After the draft is complete, the Commissioner enters the results into the game using the Offline Draft Tools.
[+] How many teams do I need in my League in order to draft?
FOX Fantasy Baseball requires a minimum of at least 4 teams in order for a league to draft. If you have a live draft scheduled and do not have the required amount of owners, your league's draft will automatically reset to offline so that you can reschedule with at least four.
[+] Can I edit the draft order?
Any time until 24 hours before your draft you will be able to adjust your draft order. To do so, just go to commissioner tools, select "Edit Draft Order" under the Draft Management section. Here you will be given the option of choosing a random draft order or manually changing the order yourself. To manually change the order, place the number for each owner in which you would like that owner to select. For instance, the first pick would receive a number one; the second pick receives a number two, etc.
[+] Where do I enter my leagues' offline draft results?
Visit the Commish Tools and click on the Offline Draft Results link under Draft Management. From here, follow the instructions to enter your league's offline draft results.
[+] How do I reset the draft?
If you need to reset your draft and start over, just visit your Commish Tools page and click the Reset Draft button below Draft Management.
[+] When do drafts begin and when do they end?
Live and Automated drafts will begin in late February, and end in late April. The ability to upload Offline draft results will be available as soon as drafts begin.

[+] How do I change my team and owner information?
Changing your team and owner information is easy. Just log in and view your My Team page. From here, click Edit Team Info page, and you will be able to view/edit your current team information, owner information, and email preferences.
[+] Why isn't the player I added/traded appearing on my roster?
If the first baseball game of the period has not yet started, players added or traded will appear in the roster for that period. If the first game has started, the players added or traded will appear in the roster for the next period. Periods can be either days (for leagues that use daily roster changes) or weeks (for leagues that use weekly roster changes).
Please check your roster for future periods to verify the new players appear.
[+] How do I bench and start players on my roster?
To set a player to active from the bench or from an active slot to the bench for a game, first view your team roster on your My Team page. Beside each player will be a drop down tab that allows you to either bench (BN) the player or place the player in a starting position. After you have selected which roster slot to put the player in, click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the roster. You should see the changes immediately.
NOTE: Depending on your league settings, and whether your players are playing their games at that time, your roster may be locked. If you are in a Weekly Roster change league, you may need to proceed to the following Monday to view and change your roster, as your roster will appear locked for the current week. If you use Daily Roster changes and your team or some players appear locked for that day, games are already in progress and you cannot make changes for that day (for those locked). Simply proceed to the day after using the navigation arrow above your roster and you will be able to make changes from that day on.
[+] How do I add/drop a player?
To add a player, start by going to your My Team page. Click the "Add Player" link near the header of the page. You will next be taken to the Players page where you can search for the player you want. After choosing the "add" link next to the player you wish to add, you will have the opportunity to choose whether to add the player to an existing empty slot on your roster, or to add the player by dropping another to make space for the new pick up. If you need to drop a player to make room, you will be automatically prompted to drop an existing player on your roster. Finalize your choices by selecting the Player you wish to drop and save. You now have your new player!
Note: You must add a player to your roster at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the player's game in order to use that player for that game. If you do not add him by this time, the player will begin earning stats for you in his next game.
To drop a player, simply click the dropdown tab by the player's name you wish to drop on your team roster. After selecting "drop" from the tab, just save your roster changes at the bottom of the page and your player will be officially dropped from your roster and placed on waivers.
Note: Dropping a player will leave an open roster slot on your team that should be filled by adding another player.
[+] What are waivers/waiver claims?
Waivers are a process designed to make player acquisitions fairer for you and your league members. If your league is using waivers, any player who is dropped from a team does not immediately become a free agent available to anyone who wants to claim him. Instead, this player goes on waivers for a set period of time during which owners have the option of submitting a claim for the player. At the end of the waiver period the player clears waivers and goes to the owner with the best waiver position who entered a claim for the player. If no owners submit a claim for the player, that player then becomes a free agent and can be picked up at anytime by anyone. A player can be placed on waivers anywhere from one, two, or three days depending on your league settings. This will allow any owner interested in picking up the player enough time to submit a "waiver claim" for the player. Otherwise the player would go to the owner who happened to be online checking the team when the player became available.
Your league also has the option of not having a waiver period. If you wish your league to treat free agent pickups on a first come, first served basis, you can choose "No Waivers" from the Edit League Rules section dropdown tab in Commish Tools. Note: Only commissioners have the ability to change waiver settings.
[+] What is the Disabled List? What happens if my player is injured?
The Disabled List makes it easier for fantasy owners when they lose a player to injury for an extended period of time. When you lose a player to injury for a long time, instead of dropping the player to acquire another you can now keep this valued player by placing him on your roster's disabled list. This allows you to add another replacement without dropping your injured star. When the time comes for your player to begin playing again, you will have the choice to drop a player on your roster to make room for your newly healed star. The league commissioner in private leagues can make this list from 0 to 10 players. In public leagues, up to three players can be placed on the disabled list.
When a player on your roster is on the DL you will be able to use the My Team drop down tabs next to the player's name to place him in a DL slot. This slot appears only when a player is on the official FoxSports.com Injury List located here. You may also find this list on your Players page by searching Status Report and sorting by Disabled List on the "Type" drop down.
After placing your injured player on the DL, you are now free to add a replacement player for the duration of the injury. Play this new acquisition like any other player until your injured player recovers.
NOTE: The injury status for players is updated each night. If a team places a player on the DL, he will become eligible for a DL slot in the game the following day.
NOTE: The Disabled list of players is not customizable: there is no way to place a player on the Disabled list.
NOTE: If you choose to add a player as a replacement for the injured player, when that injured player recovers and is removed from the DL list a notification on your roster will appear prompting you to drop one player on your roster.
[+] How do I make a trade?
Trades are a transaction made between two teams where a player or players are exchanged from one team to another. If you want a player that is on another team, and you think that player can improve your squad, you may want to consider the trade option.
To propose a trade, visit your My Team page and click the Propose Trade link in the nav. To initiate a trade, you can either click the drop down tab on the right side of the page of the team you wish to make an offer to or use the search box to find the player you want. Upon using the drop-down tab you will be brought to the "Select Players to Trade" page, where you can choose from that teams' roster the player(s) you wish to trade for. Once you have made your choice, select the player(s) from the table below containing your roster that you wish to trade away. To continue on and review your trade, click the Continue button. To cancel the trade, click Cancel, and you will be taken to your My Team page.
If you have proposed a trade involving an uneven number of players, you may be prompted to pre-select a player of yours to drop in the event that the trade you proposed is accepted and would leave you with an extra player on your roster. If the trade does not get accepted, that pre-selected player will not be dropped. Once you have selected your player, click the Continue button.
Before the trade offer is sent to the other owner, you will get one last chance to review the offer on the "Trade Page" page. This page gives you a general breakdown of the proposed deal, including players and teams involved. If you are satisfied, choose an expiration date when your trade offer will expire (2 days, 5 days, 10 days, or never). You also may want to send a note to the owner so you can add your own personal touch to the proposal before sending.
If you're satisfied, simply click the Confirm button to send the other owner your offer. An email confirmation will be sent to him or her, notifying them of the trade proposal and the conditions involved. If you have second thoughts and decide against the offer, you can simply click the "Cancel" button, and will be taken back to your My Team page.
Note: Trade proposals can be withdrawn at any time. Accepted trades cannot be withdrawn.
Note: Any changes to the trade settings of a league apply to all trades moving forward and do not affect the state of current proposed or accepted trades.
Once a trade has been accepted, it goes into a review period. The length of time and type of review is set up by the commissioner during league setup. These options include:
- No Review - Trade is processed immediately.
- Commissioner Approval - Trade must be approved by a Commissioner before it is processed. If the commissioner does not act on an accepted trade, the trade will process at the end of 10 days.
- League Vote - Team owners are notified of a pending trade by alerts on the My Team pages and email. Each owner has a designated period of time during which he may express a vote against the trade.
[+] How many votes does it take for a trade to be overturned/accepted?
If your league votes on trades, a trade can be rejected or accepted based on your league member's choices. If the number of teams to vote against trade exceeds the Maximum Objections Allowed (viewable in League Settings), it is overturned and not processed. If the number of teams to vote against trade is less than the Maximum Objections Allowed, it is processed. Team owners can vote on trades by clicking on the pending transaction and can see the trade details. Owners will be notified by email whether their trade was accepted or rejected.
[+] How do I accept, counter, or decline a trade?
You can accept, counter, or decline a trade in three different areas of your My Team page: the Pending Transactions page, the Trade Details Page, or the Trade Center page. In all three cases you can review the proposed trade by clicking on the "Trade Details" link, which will take you to an area showing the players and teams involved. From here you can select to reject, accept, or counter a trade. Upon selecting to counter the offer, you will be prompted to select players from the other owner's roster as well as your own to make the counter offer. Select Confirm to go through with your counter offer and the owner will receive an email notifying him of the counter offer.
[+] Why is my roster locked?
When you check your My Team page you may find that your roster is locked. Roster lock depends on two things: your league settings and whether your players are playing games at that time. As chosen by each participant during Create a Team, each league can either allow daily or weekly roster changes. For both league types, daily and weekly, roster lock can begin either five minutes prior to the first game played, which locks your entire roster, or five minutes prior to each player's respective game, which locks only that single player.
If you are in a Weekly Roster change league, your current day roster will lock once games begin. If this is the case, then you can only change future week's rosters, and will need to proceed to the following Monday to view and change your roster by using the navigation arrow above your roster. If you use Daily Roster changes and your team or some players appear locked for that day, games are already in progress and you cannot make changes for that day (for those locked). Simply proceed to the day after using the navigation arrow above your roster and you will be able to make changes from that day on.
[+] It says I have an incomplete roster, how do I fill in the missing players?
If your roster shows that you have an "Incomplete Starting roster", then you do not necessarily have to add another player. If you are receiving this message you are being told that your starting roster slot is not filled. Simply fill in the roster slot with one of your bench players by using the drop down tab next to the Benched (BN) player's name and click Save Changes when you are done. All incomplete starting roster slots will show in red.
[+] When I try to add or drop a player nothing happens. What do I do?
The reason you are having problems with your Add/Drop process is most likely a result of having too many players in one particular slot, which exceeds the maximum for that position allowed on your roster. This occurs due to changing your roster days ahead, and then proceeding backwards in the week with your roster changes. The best way to change your roster is to proceed forward, one day at a time. For example, after setting your roster for Monday, you should then set Tuesday's roster, and onward from there. Try to avoid going backwards with your changes, for instance, changing Tuesday's roster and then backing up to change Monday's roster. In the meantime, because you are over your roster limit, you will need to drop one of your players in order to get your roster functioning properly again. Check your league settings (roster settings) and compare with your own roster (My Team page). You might see too many players in a given position, on the DL, or on the bench.
[+] What do the min/max requirements mean?
Minimums are used to qualify teams for scoring. If a team fails to reach a minimum at the end of a scoring period, they will receive zero stats/points in relevant scoring categories.
Maximums are used to keep leagues balanced and fair. Once a team reaches a maximum, they will stop accumulating stats/points thereafter. Note: Any stats/points accumulated on the day the maximum is reached are counted.
[+] I cannot see My Team or League after sign in. How do I get them back?
To correct this issue, please try the following steps and if you continue to have problems, please respond to this email and be sure to include details including when the team disappeared, and then what you may have done with your account before it occurred.

Scoring
[+] How does scoring work for FOX Fantasy Baseball?
There are three types of scoring modes available this season. You can choose from Rotisserie, Head-to-Head, or Total Points.
Rotisserie: In Rotisserie leagues, each team in the league is ranked from first to last in each stat category used by the league.
Head-to-Head: In Head-To-Head leagues, each team will play against one other team each week to see who can compile the best stats across all of the stat categories. A team wins a particular stat category if the team earns more of that stat than the team's opponent. A head-to-head win can be determined by either the most fantasy points scored across categories or the most categories a team wins.
Total Points: In Total Points leagues, teams earn fantasy points based on their players' performances in real-life MLB games. Points-based leagues can be played with weekly head-to-head matchups or with teams ranked based on cumulative season totals.
NOTE: Any non Head to Head (H2H) league that drafts after week one will have their leagues retroactively scored for past weeks.
[+] What is the live scoring feature (GameTrax)?
FOX Fantasy Baseball offers free live scoring for all participants on the Scoreboard Page. GameTrax provides live scoring updates as games progress in real time so you can watch how your team fares day in day out, live! Note: There is no need to refresh your GameTrax page. The page will update automatically.
[+] Can I get scoring errors corrected myself?
If your scores appear to be incorrect, please contact your league Commish in order to resolve the discrepancy. To adjust scores, the Commish can go to "Commish Tools" then click, "Adjust Points Scored". From there you can adjust scores accordingly by putting in the number you would like to add or subtract to the total. To subtract points, use a negative (-) number. If you would like to make a note so your league members can know why the points were changed, use the text box to the left of the score box to leave a note. Click the Adjust button to make the adjustment final.
Note: This feature only applies for Head to Head Points leagues.
Note: Please only click the adjust button once, otherwise it may calculate your adjustment twice. The changes will appear immediately.

[+] How do I go about scouting for players I may want to add or claim?
On the "Players" page, under the "Player Pool" tab, there is a complete list of all the players in the league. Here you can sort them by position, availability, and/or team. To the right of the players' names it is noted whether they are on another owner's roster, have been claimed or are on waivers, or are free agents available for pick up.
In order to scout a potential player, simply click the folder icon under "Scout" next to a particular player's name. That player will appear under your "Scout List". The Scout List provides an area for you to follow statistics, view their upcoming games, and choose to pick up available players. This option is also available under the "Can't Drop List" tab as well as the "Position Eligibility" tab. Here you can further track specific players that you may want to add to your roster. On the "Position Eligibility" page, you can see for which position or positions each player is eligible to fill your roster. On the "Latest News" tab, you can stay up-to-date with all the latest news for players across the league. This tool can keep you current with breaking news about your players or potential additions to your roster.
From your league home page, you can also research players at the FOXSports Draft Guide or see what the fantasy experts have to say at the FOX Fantasy Baseball Home Page.
[+] Where can I get comprehensive stats on my players?
Under the "Players" page, and the "Player Pool" tab, you can see the in-season statistics for all the players in the league. By clicking "Other Stats", you can view more statistical categories. By clicking any one of the stat headings, for example "HR", it will cause that column to sort by most-to-least for that statistic. For much more comprehensive player stats, click a player's name. A new window will open with in-depth career stats for that player.

[+] What are the playoffs and how do they work?
Playoffs offer owners in public and private Head to Head leagues the chance to duke it out for the fantasy championship and bragging rights for the year. The playoffs consist of a single elimination bracket format, with each round lasting a week just like the regular season. If you lose, you're season is over. If you win, you move on and are one step closer to fantasy glory.
For public leagues the top ranked teams make the playoffs. Meanwhile commissioners of private leagues have the option to alter how many teams make the playoffs and whether or not the top ranked teams receive byes. The number of teams that make the playoffs and the corresponding bye settings can be changed up until a league's playoffs begin. To adjust these settings as a Commissioner, go to Commish Tools, select "Edit Playoff Settings," and choose your playoff scenario.
A commissioner may also opt to have no playoffs in their league. The league champion would be named at the end of the MLB regular season based on regular season record and winning percentage.
[+] Which league types have playoffs/When do playoffs begin?
When playoffs start depends on your league type and commissioner, and can begin as early as week 18 or as late as week 25. FOX Fantasy Baseball playoffs are played before the regular season ends and complete once the MLB's regular season finishes, on September 30. To see when yours begins, go to your League Settings page under the playoffs section. Here you will be able to view the starting week, as well as how many teams in your league make the playoffs and if any byes will be awarded.
NOTE: Both public and private league playoffs consist of single elimination matches. We currently do not offer any consolation brackets for teams that lose or that do not make the playoffs.
[+] What happens if my team ties in the playoffs?
Should a playoff matchup end in a tie, the FoxSports.com tiebreaker system will be used to determine the winner:
Head to Head (rotisserie) and Head to Head (total points) leagues:
- Highest BA
- Lowest ERA
- Highest HR total
- Lowest WHIP
- Highest RBI total
- Highest Win total
- Highest Run total
- Highest Save total
- Highest SB total
- Highest K total
- Total home runs by entire starting roster

- Most fantasy points by starting second basemen
- Most fantasy points by starting third basemen
- Most fantasy points by starting shortstops
- Most fantasy points by starting outfielders
- Most fantasy points by starting pitchers (starters and relievers)
- Random "coin flip"
[+] How are playoff seeds determined?
Whether your league's playoffs are set to include two, four, six, or eight teams, the top seeds from each league, or division if applicable, automatically make the playoffs. The remaining teams that make the playoffs are chosen by best record, regardless of division standings (if applicable).
In the event of a tie between teams trying to make the playoffs, the following regular season tiebreakers will be applied:
- Overall winning percentage
- Division winning percentage (if applicable)
- Fantasy points scored in Week 26

[+] How can the commissioner edit playoff seeding?
Edit Playoff Seeds is a feature that allows commissioners in private leagues to change the playoff seeds in their league, and is available during the week leading up to the playoffs. Whether you wish to change the playoff order or simply choose who does and doesn't make the playoffs, Edit Playoff Seeds tool will help you set your post season to your preference.
How it works:
If you are the commissioner of your league and wish to make changes to your playoff seeds, simply sign in to your league and go to your Commish Tools page. From there click "Edit Playoff Seeds". You can now rank the teams in your league, ranking the teams according to their seed. For instance, the top ranked team would receive a "1" next to their team name.
NOTE: Once the playoffs begin these values can not be changed.
[+] Are consolation brackets available/Can a commissioner set one up?
At this time unfortunately there will be no consolation brackets for FOX Fantasy Baseball. We will look to implement this feature into next season's game.
[+] Can the commissioner adjust the scoring system during the playoffs?
Yes. The Adjust Scores feature can still be used during playoff time for each playoff matchup. Commissioners will be unable to change regular season point totals once playoffs begin, however, and are only able to adjust playoff point totals for the current week that they have just finished. Once that week rolls over to the next round of playoffs, changes to that past week can no longer be made.
[+] Will I be able to keep my team/league for next season?
At this time unfortunately there will be no consolation brackets for FOX Fantasy Baseball. We will look to implement this feature into next season's game.
