Yes, I'm aware the Dolphins are 30th in pass defense.  I'm also aware of the fact fantasy football owners are quick to gawk at the shiny new toy in the room.  Dalton was not drafted as a fantasy football starter for a reason: outside of A.J. Green (which in some schools of thought is enough) the Bengals' offense is limited.  BenJarvus Green-Ellis is averaging 3.5 yards per rush with only two scores and now faces the top rush defense in the league.  Andrew Hawkins, Armon Binns and Jermaine Gresham have splintered targets not thrown to Green over the first four weeks, which can play to the Dolphins advantage this Sunday.  Dalton needs a few more quality starts under his belt before I feel comfortable nominating him as a fantasy starter. - Ryan Fowler

The good news was Spiller didn't break his collarbone in Week 3 against the Browns.  The better news was he practiced in the days leading up to the Bills' Week 4 contest against the Patriots.  The great news was an injury that was slated to keep him on the sidelines for 1-2 weeks didn't knock him out one.  Although Fred Jackson received more touches against the Patriots, expect Spiller to see an increased workload over the next few weeks.  He said after the Patriots' game that his shoulder was just a little sore, but reported no other setbacks.  However, the Bills travel cross-country to face the "oh no, not the 49ers rush defense" that fantasy owners dread.  San Francisco's stout defense has allowed 79.5 rush yards per game and one touchdown through the first four weeks.  With Spiller recovering and splitting touches with FJax, I think outside of some PPR leagues, owners should seek other options. - Ryan Fowler

Four weeks into the season, the Vikings' offense has four receiving touchdowns.  Rudolph caught three of those scores (Trivia: who caught the other?).  Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin remain the main cogs in moving the chains, but once the team is inside the opponents 20 yard line, Christian Ponder looks Rudolph's way.  Nearly one in four (23.5 percent) red zone targets are thrown in the tight end's direction.  - Ryan Fowler (A: Stephen Burton)

In three NFL games, Luck has passed for over 300 yards twice.  The simple assumption is that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense will manage to build a sizeable lead against a subpar Colts defense thus forcing Luck to go to the air in garbage time.  This is where "hair pulling out" comes into play with fantasy football.  I project Luck to pass for at least 250 yards, two touchdowns and two or three interceptions.  The question you have to ask yourself is is the juice worth the squeeze in Week 5.  For Tony Romo (five interceptions in Week 4) and Matthew Stafford (slow start to 2012 season) the answer may be "yes" during their BYE weeks. - Ryan Folwer

The term "most valuable player" possesses so many connotations, but for some, MVP is defined as how valuable that player is to his own team.  The Cleveland Browns are learning the hard way how valuable Joe Haden is to their pass defense.  The Browns, as bad as they are, finished with the second-ranked pass defense in 2011.  Without Haden the last three games, Cleveland pass defense ranks 28th in the league (286 pass yards allowed per game).  With Hakeem Nicks still dinged up, I expect Domenik Hixon to start again for the Giants on Sunday.  Hixon, who has also dealt with a history of injuries over the years, broke out for 114 yards on six catches (11 targets, second only to Victor Cruz).  For those owners fishing on the waiver wire for a bye-week replacement for Calvin Johnson, Miles Austin or Vincent Jackson, Hixon is a good bet. - Ryan Fowler

Before I sell the nomination, let me be the first to acknowledge the fact that I'm promoting you start a Mike Shanahan running back.  This genre of fantasy football was considered "taboo" in 2011 because of the coach's "flavor of the week" committee he placed behind Rex Grossman.  Could stability in the backfield become the norm the rest of 2012?  With Roy Helu placed on injured reserve and Evan Royster a distant third behind Morris and RG3 in carries, I feel safe in my conviction to sugget the rookie running back start in Week 5.  He's averaged over 20 carries a game this season with four scores.  The Falcons may be 4-0, but their rush defense is susceptible to exploitation as they've allowed over 146 yards on the ground each game (5.2 yards per rush and six touchdowns allowed).  With no DeMarco Murray, DMC, Mikel Leshoure, and Doug Martin available this week, Morris should easily find his way into most lineups. - Ryan Fowler

It shouldn't shock most fantasy owners, but Maurice Jones-Drew has accounted for 42.7 percent of the Jaguars total offense (435 out of 1017 yards) this season.  Even with a depleted secondary, Cincinnati managed to load up against MJD in Week 4 and hold him to 38 rushing yards on 13 carries.  Imagine what damage Chicago's defense (3.6 yards per rush allowed) can inflict by forcing Blaine Gabbert to throw (Bears just picked off Tony Romo five times).  They can load up the box, slow down MJD and force the Jags to win via the pass.  If you need another reason, DeMarco Murray was held to 24 yards on 11 carries on Monday night.  Starting Jones-Drew this week is a recipe for disaster. - Ryan Fowler

We begin this promotion to start with a moment of transparency inside my fantasy football leagues.  Although I elected not to publish a Ponder start in Week 4 against the Lions, I decided to bench Cam Newton in favor of him in two leagues.  The end result was not what I expected.  In fact, the point totals posted still sting a little on this Tuesday.  However, Ponder's Week 4 stat line of 111 passing yards with no touchdowns requires further analysis.  The Vikings' put the "special" in special teams this past Sunday as Percy Harvin and Marcus Sherels took two returns to the house for six.  Harvin's 105-yard kick and Sherels' 77-yar punt returns relieved Ponder of two offensive drives.  Who knows what Ponder would have accomplished, but I'm pretty sure he would have posted more than five (or so) fantasy points.  With that in mind, Tony Romo and Matthew Stafford owners should take a long look at starting Ponder this week as the Titans' pass defense (285 pass yards and 10 passing touchdowns allowed) continues to be ripe for the picking. - Ryan Fowler

This is not a misprint.  You read it right.  I'm benching the entire Jets' offense from this moment forward.  Mark Sanchez is ineffective.  Shonn Greene has failed to rush for 41 or more yards since Week 1.  Dustin Keller (hamstring), the team's leading receiver last season, has been injured and AWOL to begin the season.  Santonio Holmes is now out for the immediate future with a foot injury.  Joe McKnight, a fantasy flier in August, has moved to the other side of the line of scrimmage.  Rex Ryan backed Sanchez because if he yanks his franchise quarterback (remember that pricey new contract deal inked last year?) and sends in Tim Tebow, Ryan will reach a point of no return.  Oh, and yeah, the Jets face the Texans' fourth-ranked defense this week.  Still looking forward to the Bilal Powell era to begin in New York.  Just kidding. - Ryan Fowler

Jackie Battle is this week's chum in the water for fantasy football owners.  Signed along with Ronnie Brown, Battle was brought into San Diego's offense as insurance for Ryan Mathews.  Turns out the Chargers had to submit a claim earlier than expected.   Battle received one more carry (15) than Mathews in Week 4 along with four receptions (four targets) for 42 yards and a touchdown.  With New Orleans' rush defense (186.8 rush yards allowed per game) up next, expect Mathews and Battle to share touches in this latest RBBC.  If you act fast, you can place that waiver claim on Battle in time for the Wednesday deadline. - Ryan Fowler
