The San Diego Chargers defense (Stud - 25 fantasy points Week 9) locked up Jamaal Charles before knocking him out of the game with a neck injury.  For the third straight game Charles was held under 41 rushing yards as opposing defenses are starting to wise up and force Kansas City's mess of a quarterback carousel to beat them.  Charles finished with 39 yards on 12 carries.  Lucky for owners, the Chiefs get an extra couple days to prepare with a Monday night game against Pittsburgh and can allow Charles to heal up. - Ryan Fowler

Peyton Manning did most of the damage with his arm against the Bengals in Week 9, but Willis McGahee let down owners looking for a bye-week reprieve or those who rely on him as a weekly RB2.  He finished with 66 yards on 22 carries (2.9 YPR) with no touchdowns.  It's his lowest yard-per-rush average of the season.  Plus, he only hauled in one catch for four yards.  With the Bengals allowing a ton of fantasy points to opposing running backs, owners hoped for more from McGahee.  - Ryan Fowler

With Calvin Johnson dealing with a nagging knee injury that forced him to miss three days of practice last week, Titus Young's fantasy value soared up wide receiver rankings against the Jaguars' 23rd-ranked pass defense.  Johnson playing through the knee injury only made starting Young that more tantalizing as the Jags' would be preoccupied with Megatron allowing Young to enjoy single coverage.  That was the theory.  The theory turned out to blow up in my face as the pass-happy Lions turned to the ground game against the Jaguars with four touchdowns from Leshoure and Bell and none thrown by Matthew Stafford.  Young finished with two receptions for 20 yards.  I still think he holds value the rest of the season despite a dud performance in Week 9. - Ryan Fowler

Bitten by the injury bug early in the season, Fred Jackson has struggled to get things going in 2012.  Granted his Week 9 matchup against Houston (third against the rush) didn't favor him nor has sharing the workload with C.J. Spiller (102 total yards vs Houston) this season.  However, Jackson has failed to reach 75 or more rush yards and 50 receiving yards this season.  Jackson finished with 29 yards on six carries in Week 9 against the Texans. - Ryan Fowler

This is more about Brandon Marshall's fantasy football consistency than his Week 9-performance/domination of the Titans' secondary.  Jay Cutler targeted Marshall nearly 13 times per game allowing him to rack up over 111 receiving yards per game over the last four contests.  He hauled in nine of the 10 passes thrown his direction for 122 yards with three touchdowns against the Titans.  Shocking to learn that was the wide receiver's FIRST game with three touchdowns. - Ryan Fowler

With two more scores in Week 9 against the Bengals, Eric Decker has four scores in the last two weeks and has scored at least one touchdown in five straight games (seven touchdowns during stretch).  He was targeted 11 times and caught eight balls for 99 yards - his second-highest receiving total of the season.  Decker was good with Tim Tebow chucking him the ball, he's great with Peyton Manning behind center.  He's solidified himself as a WR2 with WR1 value depending on matchup/BYE weeks. - Ryan Fowler

Who is your fantasy football MVP through nine weeks?  May I interest you in the Chicago Bears Defense/Special Teams?  Check out these whacky Week 9 stats: Bears forced six turnovers ... in the first half, Brian Urlacher returned an interception for six, the Bears recovered four (4!) fumbles and, with the exception of a Chris Johnson 80-yard touchdown rush in garbage time, completely dominated the Titans in Week 9.  The Bears DST has scored 20 or more fantasy points four times and less than 10 fantasy points only once this season (standard scoring leagues). - Ryan Fowler

After shutting down Mark Sanchez and the Jets in Week 8 and scoring 10+ fantasy points in three out of its past four games, I thought Andrew Luck should remain on benches against Miami's defense.  Luck proved me wrong in a big way.  Utilizing not only Reggie Wayne, but T.Y. Hilton and Donnie Avery (210 receiving yards on 11 receptions for the duo), Luck passed for a rookie-record 433 yards (breaking Cam Newton's 2011 mark, 422 yards) with two touchdowns and no interceptions against the Dolphins.  He also had to deal with a banged up Donald Brown (knee), which limited the Colts' rushing attack.  Luck faces the Jaguars on Thursday night.  Start 'em up. - Ryan Fowler
 

When you set a franchise record Barry Sanders failed to accomplish, you've made a name for yourself in Detroit.  Mikel Leshoure scored three touchdowns in the first half against the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He finished with 70 yards on 13 carries as second-string back Joique Bell carried the rock a bunch in the second half.  Leshoure and Bell combined for four touchdowns and 143 yards despite Calvin Johnson (knee) playing through injury and racking up 129 yards on seven receptions.  The offense needed some good news with Jahvid Best (concussion) ruled out for the rest of the season last week. - Ryan Fowler

Where to begin?  How about the hometown boy making good?  Doug Martin returned home to Oakland (he went to high school in nearby Stockon) and rushed for a career-high and franchise-record 251 yards with four touchdowns (distances of 1, 45, 67, and 70) on 25 carries (10.1 yards per carry).  He's now rushed for 386 yards the last two weeks.  Martin accomplished the record-setting day without a big part of the offensive line as Carl Nicks was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week.  His 51.2 fantasy points sets a season-high in FOXSports.com standard-scoring leagues.  Martin finisihed 45 yards shy of Adrian Peterson's rookie record for rush yards in a game. - Ryan Fowler
