WATCH: Week 13 Fantasy Recap

The picture says it all.  Mark Sanchez was stuck holding the clipboard in the second half as Rex Ryan pulled him in favor of, no, not Tim Tebow (out with rib injury), but Greg McElroy.  Sanchez left the game 10 of 21 for 97 yards with three interceptions.  In FOXSports.com standard-scoring leagues, he finished with -1.9 fantasy points.  Meanwhile, McElroy led a touchdown-scoring drive, the difference in 7-6 Jets' win. - Ryan Fowler
 

Before Week 13, the last time Chris Johnson failed to record at least 10 fantasy points (standard scoring) was Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings.  Granted, he had a tough matchup with the Houston Texans, but did rack up 141 rushing yards in their first meeting this season and averaged better than 93 rush yards per game against the Texans in his career.  Unfortuanately, Houston, once again, built a cozy lead where CJ2K was an afterthought in the offense to the tune of 13 carries for 51 yards with a fumble.  He does have a tasty matchup against the Colts (121 rush yards allowed per game) in Week 14. - Ryan Fowler
 

I was promoting Jacquizz Rodgers in the days leading up to the Falcons' game against the Saints.  It made sense.  He received more carries than Michael Turner the previous game and the Saints' rush defense is as bad as its pass defense.  We witnessed this first hand on the first drive of the game as Atlanta ran over the Saints en route to a Turner touchdown.  In fact, the Falcons racked up 98 rushing yards in the first quarter of the game.  The confusing part was the 12 carries (yeah, that's it) Atlanta called in the second, third and fourth quarters.  It didn't add up as Matt Ryan continued to chuck the ball around the dome and struggled on third down (1-11).  The game was a letdown in many different ways. - Ryan Fowler 

Thursday night's showdown between the Falcons and Saints had all the makings for a smorgasbord of fantasy football points.  It was nearly the exact opposite as Drew Brees threw five interceptions and no touchdowns.  As for the Atlanta offense, Tony Gonzalez scored, but Julio Jones and Roddy White were limited.  White finished with one catch for 20 yards.  For those owners in need of a Week 13 win with fantasy playoffs looming, White let plenty down with that performance.  In fact, White hasn't scored a touchdown since early October.  - Ryan Fowler
 

After not appearing in a single game the last two seasons, Brady Quinn was provided another crack in the NFL thanks to limited offensive options in Kansas City.  Looking back at Quinn's career, it's hard to believe that during the 2009 season with Cleveland, he had two game set, against San Diego and Detroit, where he tossed seven touchdowns and no interceptions.  In Week 13, with heavy hearts inside Arrowhead, Quinn compiled one of his most complete games with a strong stat line: 19 of 23 passes for 201 yards with two touchdowns against Carolina.  The 21.2 fantasy points were a pleasant surprise. - Ryan Fowler

Wilson is in the midst of a trend no fantasy football owner should ignore.  For the fifth straight game, he's scored more than 20 fantasy points.  In Week 13, Wilson finished with 293 passing yards, 71 rushing yards with two touchdowns and no turnovers against the Bears.  He hasn't thrown an interception since Week 8.  He plays Arizona in Week 14. - Ryan Fowler
 

After hanging 178 rush yards with two touchdowns against the Panthers in Week 12, Brown became a hot commodity on the waiver wire last week.  He didn't dissapoint owners who took a shot and started him against the Cowboys on Sunday night.  Brown finished with 169 yards on 24 carries (when asked to comment, LeSean McCoy owners screamed "How many carries?!") with two more touchdowns.  He has lost three fumbles in two starts, but with the points totals he's posting, owners will deal with the butterfingers. - Ryan Fowler

Don't look now, but Cam Newton is finding some rhythm.   For the second straight game, he scored more than 35 fantasy points in a game, for the third straight game he did not throw an interception and for the first time this season he threw three touchdowns to Panthers' receivers.  Newton has thrown six touchdowns in his last three games.  He chipped in 78 rushing yards against the Chiefs in Week 13, too.  Granted, all this goodness came in a loss, but I don't hear fantasy owners crying.  Newton faces Atlanta in Week 14, a team he hung 35 fantasy points on in Week 4. - Ryan Fowler

Donnie Avery hadn't scored since Week 1.  Well in Week 13, he received more targets (14) than T.Y. Hilton (12) and Reggie Wayne (9) along with five receptions for 91 yards with two touchdowns including the game-winner.  The 21.1 fantasy points were a season-high for Avery, but what fantasy owners should take away from this game is that Andrew Luck is starting to wean himself off Reggie Wayne in the passing game.  Wayne remains his favorite target, but Luck is learning that he doesn't need to target him 19 times in a game to win.  That's progress and good news for all fantasy owners. - Ryan Fowler
 

Although most of his fantasy points were recorded in garbage time, Oakland's favorite time, Myers broke out in Week 13 against the Browns.  He finished with 14 receptions for 130 yards with a touchdown as Carson Palmer continues to trust him in the passing game.  He's averaging over seven receptions and 11.5 fantasy points per game over his last five.  In points per reception leagues, he's a great plug and play option.  Myers is still availabe in 71 percent of leagues. - Ryan Fowler

If not for Andrew Luck's fourth-quarter fantasy barrage, Peterson was in line for fantasy uber-stud honors this week.  The running back's incredible season penned another chapter in Green Bay as ADP posted 210 yards on 21 carries with a touchdown.  I'll do the math.  He averaged 10 yards per rush!  His 28 fantasy points (standard scoring) are the second-most by the running back this season (vs. SEA). - Ryan Fowler

Halfway through the fourth quarter, Andrew Luck was in line for a typical 20-22 fantasy-point performance.  Had he finished with that point total, it would have been an improvement on the 14 (or so) fantasy points per game he'd been averaging on the road this season.  With three interceptions and two touchdowns to his credit, Luck started to carve up the Lions' secondary as he rallied the Colts back from a 33-21 deficit.  He finished with 391 passing yards, four touchdowns and those three interceptions along with 33 rushing yards.  It's the second time this season Luck has eclipsed 30 fantasy points.  He has a favorable matchup against the Titans in Week 14. - Ryan Fowler
