Eagles at Chargers

Time: 4:15 PM ET   TV: FOX Location: Qualcomm Stadium - San Diego, CA

CHARGERS (7-3-0)

EAGLES (6-4-0)

  Philip Rivers

QB
He's one of the best fantasy QBs in the league for a reason. That reason? The team throws the ball 40 times a game, that's why. They can't get any run game going, so Rivers hurls it over and over again, piling up yards and finding his many receiving options often. Fourteen touchdowns says you have to be playing him again this weekend.

  Donovan McNabb

QB
He hadn't thrown an interception since Week 1 until giving the Cowboys a pair of them last weekend. Unfortunately, he's only had multiple TDs in three of his eight games as well. It's tough to start him in San Diego this week, especially since he doesn't run the ball anymore. He's not a top-10 guy right now, so treat him as such.

  LaDainian Tomlinson

RB
L.T. just hasn't been the same for a couple years now, and it's tough to watch. He has some of the moves again, but it's just not happening as far as production goes. Once again, leave him on the sidelines where he belongs.

  LeSean McCoy

RB
With Brian Westbrook most likely out again this week, McCoy becomes the go-to man in this offense. Look for 20 touches out of him, which means he needs to be played in all formats.

  Darren Sproles

RB
He may not be No. 1 on the depth chart, but he certainly is No. 1 when it comes to being a fantasy threat in this team's backfield. Unfortunately, even with that ranking, he's almost unstartable this week against the league's No. 1 defense. I'd leave him alone.

  Leonard Weaver

RB
He showed what he can do with some pretty runs a couple weeks ago, but he'll once again be a second option Sunday and not a primary one. Because of that, you can't be playing him anytime soon.

  Malcom Floyd

WR
He's now a starter with Chris Chambers moving over to Kansas City, but owners are still waiting for him to prove he belongs there. The potential's there, but he's yet to catch more than two passes in a game more than once all year. Leave him on the bench until those numbers improve.

  Jeremy Maclin

WR
The rookie's been a nice surprise this season, as he's now averaging four catches and 48 yards over his last three games. The threat of a touchdown is always there too, as he's scored thre times in his last five outings. He's still just a borderline start, but that could get better as the season goes on.

  Vincent Jackson

WR
The team's top option at receiver is an obvious start each and every week in this offense. The guy has five touchdowns the last four games, to go with 349 yards. Those are top notch numbers, folks. Keep him in there.

  DeSean Jackson

WR
Could be the league's most explosive player right now, as he continues to bust off long touchdown after long touchdown each and every week. It's virtually impossible not to play him, despite only averaging barely three touches a game on offense. Keep playing him.

  Legedu Naanee

WR
I like what Naanee can do, but this team has way too many options on offense right now for him to provide enough for fantasy owners to consider him. Remember his name for later, though.

  Jason Avant

WR
Avant has his moments, but he certainly isn't a guy you need to be considering for a fantasy start. He hasn't reached that level yet, and he needs to be left on the waiver wire because of it.

  Antonio Gates

TE
The touchdowns haven't been there (two), but the receptions certainly have. He's had at least five catches in every game but one this year and is still a fantasy player because of that fact. However, the TDs need to go up for him to be an elite player at his position again.

  Brent Celek

TE
Has turned himself into a strong top-10 tight end this season, catching no less than three balls every game and scoring four times, including once in each of the past two weeks. He needs to be in your lineup right now if you own him.

  Nate Kaeding

You have to love Kaeding, who continues to put up points consistently for this team. He's one of the best in the league at his position, so you need to play him like he is.

One of the true professionals in the game today, Akers has been doing his thing for several years now. The team has all the faith in the world in him, and for good reason. You should too.

  Chargers
D/ST
This isn't an automatic play these days, since the team isn't crushing quarterbacks like it used to when Shawne Merriman was at his peak. However, they're at home against a struggling running game, so I think you have have to roll with them.

  Eagles
D/ST
They're simply the most dominating fantasy defense in football this season, and they need to be treated as such. They create turnovers, they sack quarterbacks, they score touchdowns. It's incredibly fun to watch, and almost always profitable for owners as well.
