| Greg Biffle: Currently ranking third in the overall Cup standings, Biffle has recorded two victories, 12 top fives and 17 top 10s this year. Only three drivers have compiled more wins and top fives than Biffle this season (Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson). Entering the season's final Cup race, Biffle has a great track record at Homestead-Miami Speedway, clinching the most victories of any driver with three. He won in 2004, '05 and '06, and finished a solid 13th last year. | |
| David Ragan: One of the year's top surprises, Ragan ranks 13th among all drivers in the Cup standings. He's recorded six top fives and 14 top 10s this season. Last season, he recorded only two top fives and three top 10s. One of his top 10s came at Homestead-Miami last season when he finished 10th. Also in his favor, Ragan has finished this year strong, clinching top 13s in his last seven events and recording five top 10s during this span. | |
| Martin Truex, Jr.: After making the Chase for the Championship last season, Truex missed the qualifying this year. He disappointed with only three top fives this season after clinching seven in 2007. However, boding well for the season's final race, Truex has posted the third-best average finish with a superb 4.0 in the last two events at Homestead-Miami. He placed second in 2006 and sixth last year. | |
| Jamie McMurray: Though he only has two top 10s in six career events at Homestead-Miami, McMurray has finished the season superbly. He's recorded three top fives and four top 10s in his last five Cup races this year. This includes achieving thirds in the last two events. Significantly, that's helped him produce the second-best average finish (4.3) behind only Carl Edwards in the last three races. Of note, McMurray has recorded two top 10s at Homestead-Miami, placing ninth in '03 and seventh in '04, in addition to placing a respectable 14th last year. | |

| Carl Edwards: It would take something huge for Jimmie Johnson to fall to Edwards in the finale, despite claiming seven top-five finishes and two victories during the Chase. Those 29th and 33rd-place finishes proved to be the difference. Edwards' history at Homestead-Miami suggests that he'll keep Johnson honest. Edwards has raced to three straight top-10 finishes here after finishing 14th in his introduction to the track. He's averaged a ninth-position running slot in the past three years. | |
| Greg Biffle: It's been a phenomenal season for Biffle and the No. 16 Roush Fenway Ford team. He has claimed 11 top-14 finishes in his past 13 starts, including eight top 10s. Get ready to lock and load Biffle into your lineup for the final race of the season. He's a three-time champion at Homestead-Miami, having won three straight season-ending events prior to last year's 13th-place finish. | |
| David Ragan: Ragan is on a roll as the season winds to a close. He's raced to seven consecutive top-13 finishes, including five top 10s. Ragan has also qualified inside the top 15 in four of those events. I'm expecting the No. 6 Roush Fenway Ford team to close out the season with another strong run at Homestead-Miami. He generated a 10th-place finish after qualifying seventh in his only Homestead-Miami run last season. | |
| Kurt Busch: Busch is trying to finish his season well, having raced to three top 10s in his past five starts, all top-six performances. He's raced well here at Homestead-Miami, generating three top fives in seven career starts, including a win in 2002. Busch has also qualified inside the top 10 in five of his seven entries (two poles). | |

| Greg Biffle: Yeah, this is the week where you throw out all the guys with whom you still have one start left. I get that. That may apply to most other drivers on my list, but not Biffle. He's a legitimate stud at Homestead, having won this three times in the six trips he's made there. He loves coming to Miami and should be able to leave here with a top five. | |
| Kurt Busch: He came in second last week in a strong performance, and his record at this track is as solid as they come as well. In seven tours of duty at Homestead, he's won once, captured two poles and has three top fives overall. It's apparent he's running well right now, so I feel good putting him in my lineup. | |
| Martin Truex, Jr.: He's only been to Miami three times, but the last two have ended in sixth and second place. This seems like a good fit to me, especially the way Truex has been running the last month or so. | |
| Jamie McMurray: I don't care what the track stats say in this instance, McMurray's on fire! He did absolutely nothing the first half of the season, and now he's put together four top 10s the last five weeks down the stretch. The turnaround is incredible, and I'm finally going to ride it. | |
