How do I change my team and owner information?
Changing your team and owner information is easy. Just log in and view your My Team page. From here, click Edit Team Info page, and you will be able to view/edit your current team information, owner information, and email preferences.
How do I bench and start players on my roster?
To set a player to active from the bench or from an active slot to the bench for a game, first view your team roster on your My Team page. Beside each player will be a drop down tab that allows you to either bench (BN) the player or place the player in a starting position. After you have selected which roster slot to put the player in, click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the roster. You should see the changes immediately.
NOTE: Depending on your league settings, and whether your players are playing their games at that time, your roster may be locked and you may need to proceed to the following NFL week to view and change your roster, as your roster will appear locked for the current week.
How do I add/drop a player?
To add a player, start by going to your My Team page. Click the "Add Player" link near the header of the page. You will next be taken to the Players page where you can search for the player you want. After choosing the "add" link next to the player you wish to add, you will have the opportunity to choose whether to add the player to an existing empty slot on your roster, or to add the player by dropping another to make space for the new pick up. If you need to drop a player to make room, you will be automatically prompted to drop an existing player on your roster. Finalize your choices by selecting the Player you wish to drop and save. You now have your new player!
NOTE: You must add a player to your roster at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the player's game in order to use that player for that game. If you do not add him by this time, the player will begin earning stats for you in his next game.
To drop a player, simply click the dropdown tab by the player's name you wish to drop on your team roster. After selecting "drop" from the tab, just save your roster changes at the bottom of the page and your player will be officially dropped from your roster and placed on waivers.
NOTE: Dropping a player will leave an open roster slot on your team that should be filled by adding another player.
NOTE: With adds and waiver claims, if your players are locked for that week the you will receive notification letting you know that the claim will be processed for the following week.
What are waivers/waiver claims?
Waivers are a process designed to make player acquisitions fairer for you and your league members. If your league is using waivers, any player who is dropped from a team does not immediately become a free agent available to anyone who wants to claim him. Instead, this player goes on waivers for a set period of time during which owners have the option of submitting a claim for the player. At the end of the waiver period the player clears waivers and goes to the owner with the best waiver position who entered a claim for the player. If no owners submit a claim for the player, that player then becomes a free agent and can be picked up at anytime by anyone. A player can be placed on waivers anywhere from one, two, or three days depending on your league settings. This will allow any owner interested in picking up the player enough time to submit a "waiver claim" for the player. Otherwise the player would go to the owner who happened to be online checking the team when the player became available.
Your league also has the option of not having a waiver period. If you wish your league to treat free agent pickups on a first come, first served basis, you can choose "No Waivers" from the Edit League Rules section dropdown tab in Commish Tools. NOTE: Only commissioners have the ability to change waiver settings.
Trades are a transaction made between two teams where a player or players are exchanged from one team to another. If you want a player that is on another team, and you think that player can improve your squad, you may want to consider the trade option.
To propose a trade, visit your My Team page and click the Trade Center link in the nav. To initiate a trade, click the drop down tab on the right side of the page of the team you wish to make an offer to. You will be brought to the "Propose Trade" page, where you can choose the player(s) you wish to trade for. Once you have made your choice, select the player(s) from the table below containing your roster that you wish to trade away. To continue and review your trade, click the Continue button. To cancel the trade, click Cancel, and you will be taken to your My Team page.
If you have proposed a trade involving an uneven number of players, you may be prompted to pre-select a player of yours to drop in the event that the trade you proposed is accepted and would leave you with an extra player on your roster. If the trade does not get accepted, that pre-selected player will not be dropped. Once you have selected your player, click the Continue button.
Before the trade offer is sent to the other owner, you will get one last chance to review the offer on the "Review Trade" page. This page gives you a general breakdown of the proposed deal, including players and teams involved. If you are satisfied, choose an expiration date when your trade offer will expire (2 days, 5 days, 10 days, or never). You also may want to send a note to the owner so you can add your own personal touch to the proposal before sending.
If you're satisfied, simply click the Confirm button to send the other owner your offer. An email confirmation will be sent to him or her, notifying them of the trade proposal and the conditions involved. If you have second thoughts and decide against the offer, you can simply click the "Cancel" button, and you will be taken back to your My Team page.
NOTE: Trade proposals can be withdrawn at any time. Accepted trades cannot be withdrawn.
NOTE: Any changes to the trade settings of a league apply to all trades moving forward and do not affect the state of current proposed or accepted trades.
NOTE: If a trade is made during player lock you will be notified by email that the trade will not process until after the week and roster lock is over.
Once a trade has been accepted, it goes into a review period. The length of time and type of review is set up by the commissioner during league setup. These options include:
- No Review - Trade is processed immediately.
- Commissioner Approval - Trade must be approved by a Commissioner before it is processed. If the commissioner does not act on an accepted trade, the trade will process at the end of 10 days.
- League Vote - Team owners are notified of a pending trade by alerts on the My Team pages and email. Each owner has a designated period of time during which he may express a vote against the trade.
How many votes does it take for a trade to be overturned/accepted?
If your league votes on trades, a trade can be rejected or accepted based on your league member's choices. If the number of teams to vote against trade exceeds the Maximum Objections Allowed (viewable in League Settings), it is overturned and not processed. If the number of teams to vote against trade is less than the Maximum Objections Allowed, it is processed. Team owners can vote on trades by clicking on the pending transaction and can see the trade details. Owners will be notified by email whether their trade was accepted or rejected.
| How do I accept, counter, or decline a trade? | You can accept, counter, or decline a trade in three different areas of your My Team page: the Pending Transactions page, the Trade Details Page, or the Trade Center page. In all three cases you can review the proposed trade by clicking on the "Trade Details" link, which will take you to an area showing the players and teams involved. From here you can select to reject, accept, or counter a trade. Upon selecting to counter the offer, you will be prompted to select players from the other owner's roster as well as your own to make the counter offer. Select Confirm to go through with your counter offer and the owner will receive an email notifying him of the counter offer.
