Playoff Rules
What are the playoffs and how do they work?
Playoffs offer owners in public and private leagues the chance to duke it out for the fantasy championship and bragging rights for the year. The playoffs consist of a single elimination bracket format, with each round lasting a week just like the regular season. If you win, you move on and are one step closer to fantasy glory.

For public leagues the top six teams make the playoffs. Meanwhile commissioners of private leagues have the option to alter how many teams make the playoffs and whether or not the top ranked teams receive byes. The number of teams that make the playoffs and the corresponding bye settings can be changed up until a league's playoffs begin. To adjust these settings as a Commissioner, go to Commish Tools, select "Edit Playoff Settings," and choose your playoff scenario.

A commissioner may also opt to have no playoffs in their league. The league champion would be named at the end of the NFL regular season based on regular season record and winning percentage.

Which league types have playoffs/When do playoffs begin?
When playoffs start depends on your league type and commissioner (public leagues do not have commissioners), and can begin as early as Week 10 or as late as Week 17. FOX Fantasy Football playoffs are played before the regular season ends and complete once the NFL's regular season finishes. To see when yours begins, go to your League Settings page under the playoffs section. Here you will be able to view the starting week, as well as how many teams in your league make the playoffs and if any byes will be awarded.
NOTE: Both public and private league playoffs consist of single elimination matches.

What happens if my team ties in the playoffs/What are the playoff tiebreakers?
Should a playoff matchup end in a tie, the FOXSports.com tiebreaker system will be used to determine the winner:

Game Tiebreakers:

  1. Total touchdowns scored by entire starting roster
  2. Most fantasy points by starting quarterback(s)
  3. Most fantasy points by starting running back(s)
  4. Most fantasy points by starting wide receiver(s)
  5. Most fantasy points by starting tight end(s)
  6. Most fantasy points by starting defensive team(s)
  7. Most fantasy points by starting defensive player(s)
  8. Most fantasy points by starting defensive linemen
  9. Most fantasy points by starting linebacker(s)
  10. Most fantasy points by starting defensive back(s)
  11. Most fantasy points by starting kicker(s)
  12. Random "coin flip"
