• The Losman experiment is probably over in Buffalo. Surprisingly, other teams are interested in making him their problem. What's that saying about one man's trash being another's treasure? Anyway, Losman's fantasy value is limited wherever he goes. Look elsewhere. He had an OK 2006 with 19 touchdown passes, but that was by far the best effort of his career. Averaging a little over one touchdown pass per game isn't nearly good enough for fantasy owners.
• Remember last year when Lynch started the season splitting carries with Anthony Thomas (who has since been released)? Is there anyone out there who really believed that would last more than two weeks? Lynch is now a bonafide RB1 stud. Take him near the bottom of the first round in your draft.
• Jackson showed he can carry the load just fine should Lynch be absent. He didn't rush for a touchdown last year, but had a pretty solid two-week stretch in Weeks 13 and 14 when he ran for 82 and 115 yards, respectively. If you have Lynch, you may want to handcuff Jackson to him in the later rounds of your draft.
• Evans lived up to his Mr. December moniker, but not as much as he had done in recent years. Evans scored three of the five touchdowns he had in December, but posted some pretty mediocre numbers as a No. 1 far too often this past season. Will he do better with Edwards as the full-time guy?
• The Bills have very little talent at wide receiver and did their best to add an offensive playmaker in the draft. Well, sort of. Buffalo focused mostly on their defense, which could improve quite a bit this year, but Hardy is something of an intriguing project who is intent on playing well after getting past some off-the-field character issues. Watch how he develops through summer camp.
NFL draft
Hardy was the only offensive player taken by the Bills in the first three rounds. He ran 4.49 40-yard dash and should develop into a decent a red-zone target. They added tight end Derrick Fine with their second pick in the fourth round, but he's much more of a blocker than a playmaker. He may get a few of Royal's scraps now that Gaines is out of the picture. He and Teyo Johnson can battle it out for the backup role.
Offseason moves
Key additions: FB Darian Barnes, TE Johnson, DT Marcus Stroud, LB Kawika Mitchell
Key subtractions: RB Thomas, WR Sam Aiken, WR Peerless Price , TE Michael Gaines
