• When the only thing that saved you from going 0-16 was a terrible decision by Brian Billick, it stands to reason there isn't much fantasy talent on your roster. They'll be better, but Bill Parcells may need to hope they win lots of games by 9-7 scorelines.
• Besides Brown, is there anyone else on this team you'd really want in your starting lineup? For now, the answer is a pretty resounding "no." You should even be a little cautious with Brown since he's coming off a knee injury.
• Beck had one touchdown pass in 107 pass attempts last season. That ratio will have to get just a little bit better before you should give him much fantasy consideration. It's not all his fault though: who exactly would he throw the ball to, anyway?
• Williams' return lasted about 15 minutes last seasn. Who knows where his head will bein 2008? Unless Brown gets injured again though, don't even think about picking up Williams. Too bad Lorenzo Booker isn't around anymore; he actually may have been Miami's best back last year.
• Don't get too excited about the Wilford signing; he had one decent year in his career with Jacksonville (2005: 681 receiving yards and seven touchdowns). In the other three years of his career, he has a total of eight touchdowns and 1,313 yards. If someone can explain to me why he'll suddenly come to life in a much worse offense, I'm all ears.
Draft
Everyone knew days before the draft happened who the top pick would be, and Jake Long may offer more fantasy help than you imagine ... despite the fact he may never actually touch the football even once in his NFL career.
Long allowed three sacks and committed two penalties in four years at Michigan. Suffice to say, he can both run block and pass block well. Minimally, he could at least give whoever quarterbacks Miami a little more time to throw the ball, especially since the Fins also signed bruising guard Justin Smiley away from San Francisco.
