FSU places four on All-ACC baseball team

Seminoles senior right-hander Scott Sitz was named to the first team after going 9-1 with a 1.66 ERA in 76 innings (with 61 strikeouts). He is tied for the ACC lead in wins.
Junior Stephen McGee, who was named to the second team, is one of 15 catchers in the running for the Johnny Bench Award (presented to the top nation’s top collegiate catcher). McGee has started 54 of 55 games from behind the plate, committing just two errors. He is also hitting .299 with eight home runs, 15 doubles, 45 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
Sophomore right-hander Luke Weaver posted a 6-2 record with a 2.08 ERA, moving into Florida State’s No. 1 spot in the rotation midseason. A second-team pick, he has recorded a team-high 91 strikeouts in 78 innings while walking just 16.
Freshman DJ Stewart was named to the second team after leading Florida State in hitting (.328, doubles (21) and stolen bases (seven). He is second on the team in hits (62) and RBIs (51).
Miami’s Bryan Radziewski, a junior left-hander, was named to the first team. Radziewski is 8-2 with a 1.64 ERA and 96 strikeouts (with just 27 walks).
Florida State will open the ACC Baseball Tournament on Wednesday against Georgia Tech at 11 a.m. Miami will play North Carolina on Thursday at 3 p.m.
