Lennon will not face UEFA action
UEFA have confirmed that Celtic boss Neil Lennon will not face any action over his criticism of the referee's performance during Tuesday night's Champions League tie against Juventus.
The Italian side romped to an emphatic 3-0 victory at Parkhead, which makes them overwhelming favourites to reach the last eight.
And, after the match, Lennon was critical of Spanish official Alberto Mallenco, who he felt allowed Juventus defenders to get away with repeated manhandling of Celtic players at set pieces.
"I thought he was poor," said Lennon. "I thought he was very pro-Juventus. I was disappointed with his performance to say the least.
"They (Celtic players) were being fouled at every occasion, the referee is looking at it. They were putting their arms around players, blocking their runs, trying to pull them down.
"The game must be different in Spain and in Italy from what it is in Britain, where you cannot do that in the penalty box because it is a penalty."
However, UEFA have told Sky Sports News that they will not be taking any action against Lennon for his remarks.
