Paris Saint-Germain says it will not provide club travel for its supporters ahead of next month's Champions League match at Dinamo Zagreb because of security concerns.

Though it normally makes such arrangements for away games, PSG said Thursday it took the decision after consulting with UEFA and Croatian authorities, citing ''preventative reasons of security.''

PSG also advised fans not to travel to the match in the hope of buying a ticket in Croatia.

PSG has gone to significant lengths to combat problems of hooliganism and racism that were rife among a section of its hardcore supporters from 1985-2010. Two PSG supporters have been killed in the past six years in separate hooliganism-related incidents.

Dinamo Zagreb has a notorious hooligan element among its support known as ''BBB'' (Bad Blue Boys).
