Paolo Di Canio's first managerial job is over after he resigned from English third-tier club Swindon.
In a statement Monday, the Italian cited ''a number of broken promises'' and claimed his position had ''become untenable'' with continuing uncertainty over the southwest English club's ownership.
The former West Ham, Juventus and Lazio striker had said earlier this month that he was considering his position following the sale of a player.
