Twente remain in first in Eredivisie
AROUND THE WORLD ...
FC Twente stayed three points clear at the top of the Eredivisie with a 3-0 win at home to nine-man AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
Nacer Chadli opened the scoring after 20 minutes and AZ shot themselves in the foot twice in consecutive minutes early in the second half.
The visitors had Adam Maher sent off in the 51st minute and Jozy Altidore dismissed a minute later and after that it was just a question of how many Twente would get.
Dusan Tadic doubled their advantage with a 60th-minute penalty and Luc Castaignos added a third two minutes later.
PSV Eindhoven moved level on points with Vitesse Arnhem in second with a 4-0 win at home to NAC Breda.

On Saturday, Wilfried Bony claimed a hat-trick but Vitesse missed the chance to take top spot as they were held to a 3-3 draw by visiting Heerenveen.
Bony (53, 70) and Alfred Finnbogason (36, 63) cancelled out each other's efforts but Sven Kums' 74th-minute effort broke the pattern and gave the away side the lead.

Heracles scored a 3-0 away win over second bottom PEC Zwolle, their second success of the season.

RKC Waalwijk drew 0-0 at Willem II.
On Friday night, ADO Den Haag missed the chance to climb into the top six after being held to a 1-1 draw at NEC Nijmegen.
NEC took the lead two minutes into the second half when Leroy George curled home a free-kick from the edge of the area beyond the grasp of Robert Zwinkels.
ADO secured a share of the spoils in the 58th minute when Mike van Duinen capitalized on an error by Rens Van Eijden to net the equalizer.
