PAPER CHASE

Get the latest rumors as the biggest clubs try to bolster their rosters.

Former Manchester United and England midfielder Paul Ince has been hired to manage second-tier club Blackpool, where his son Thomas plays.

The 21-year-old Ince has played for Blackpool since leaving Liverpool two years ago.

His 45-year-old father is returning to management after a near two-year absence, and took charge of training for the first time on Monday.

Ince says that ''considering I've watched the team play for the last 14 months, it's strange sitting here as the manager, having obviously watched Blackpool as a fan as well as watching my son play.''

Ince is Blackpool's third manager this season and previously coached at Macclesfield Town, MK Dons, Blackburn Rovers and Notts County.
