Lazio is concerned that UEFA will order it to play its next Europa League match in an empty stadium after three Borussia Moenchengladbach fans were stabbed ahead of Thursday's match.

Last month, UEFA deferred a Lazio stadium closure ''for a probationary period of two years'' following a series of cases of racist abuse by fans this season.

Lazio was found guilty of racist behavior among a range of offenses relating to its home match against Tottenham in November, as well as for two other matches this season.

Two of the stabbed Moenchengladbach fans were kept in the hospital, although without serious injuries.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito says "the delinquents don't have anything to do with (Lazio's fans) and I can't control every individual in Rome."

Lazio won the match 2-0.
