Newell's Old Boys failed to hold on to a late lead and drew 1-1 at Godoy Cruz on Sunday, but still tops the Argentine league by one point over Velez Sarsfield.
Newell's Old Boys took a 1-0 lead through Ignacio Scocco's goal in the 10th minute, but Mauro Obolo equalized for the hosts in the 79th. It was only the sixth goal Newell's has conceded in 13 unbeaten games of the opening championship.
In other matches Sunday, Quilmes was held 2-2 at home by Colon while River Plate drew 0-0 at All Boys.
Quilmes took a 2-0 lead through first-half goals from Juan Cobo and Ernesto Goni but Goni scored an own-goal in the 88th to give Colon a chance, and then in stoppage time Emanuel Gigliotti scored the equalizer.
River Plate's draw left it in the middle of the standings with 17 points, nine off the lead.
On Saturday, Velez won 5-1 at Arsenal, with Facundo Ferreyra scoring a hat trick in what could be a vital result for the Buenos Aires club.
The other games Saturday ended: Argentinos Juniors 1, San Martin 1; Union 2, Estudiantes 2; Boca Juniors 3, San Lorenzo 1.
On Friday, Belgrano won 3-1 at Atletico Rafaela and is now only two points off the lead.
The 13th round will wrap up on Monday with Tigre vs. Racing Club, and Independiente vs. Lanus.
