MARSEILLE
Police officers searched offices at Marseille's training on Wednesday as part of an investigation that does not directly involve the club.
Marseille said on its website that the searches were carried out ''as part of an ongoing investigation that concerns other cases,'' adding that it was given no further information by police officials as to their nature.
French reports said about 10 plainclothes police officers arrived in the morning and that the office of sporting director Jose Anigo was among those searched.
