Villas-Boas blasts Blues ethos
Andre Villas-Boas says he is on the way to achieving his targets at Tottenham Hotspur and has criticized former club Chelsea for not working to a long-term project.
Villas-Boas was sacked by Chelsea just nine months after being appointed on a three-year contract, leaving him unhappy that club owner Roman Abramovich had gone back on his word.
The Portuguese coach says it is an easy option to change manager and he does not think Abramovich knows what is best for Chelsea in the long run.
"There are no plans at Chelsea, it's results that rule," Villas-Boas said in The Sun.
"There are times in football when it's easier to replace the coach.
"But when you embrace a project you believe in people. There was a commitment from Abramovich and his word was given.
"Yet there was a premature departure."
Villas-Boas is enjoying the stability of life at White Hart Lane, having taken charge in the summer, and is happy with the way the season is progressing.
He added: "We're achieving what we've been asked to achieve.
"We're still in the Europa League and third in the Premier League."
