Serie A struggler Palermo has made its second coaching change of the season, sacking Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Sicilian club announced the dismissal on its website on Monday, a day after losing 2-1 at home to Atalanta.
Palermo said it will announce its new coach before Tuesday morning.
Italian media reported that Gasperini would be replaced by Alberto Malesani until the end of the season.
Gasperini, who was fired by Inter Milan last season, took over from the sacked Giuseppe Sannino in September but has led Palermo to just three wins and seven draws, losing 10 matches. The team is bottom of Serie A.
Malesani was sacked twice by Genoa last season.
