Malaga's sporting director Mario Husillos says the club must give their young winger Isco a new deal.
Husillos believes Isco is the club's biggest asset and has a bright future ahead of him.
The Spanish under-21 international has gathered interest from a host of top English sides.
Husillos said: "Talks for renewal are still on track.
"The boy wants to stay at the club because it is clear that growth and performance have to be here.
"Isco is intelligent and is still young. He will soon be in the national team."
