The RvP dust has finally settled and when it is all said and done, last season's MVP will be playing alongside another deadly striker in Wayne Rooney at Manchester United. Van Persie will lead this two headed monster of an attack, and will cerainly be out to prove that he is worthy of all the summer transfer hype, as well as the hefty fee that the Glazer family doled out to bring him in.

Along with the money and hype, there will be plenty of pressue on Robin van Persie and United to bring the Premier League title back to their side of the tracks in Manchester.

Carlos Tevez has been lauded by teammate Yaya Toure as the man that can keep the title with Manchester City. He is also the man that could just as easily cost the Citizens the Premier League hardware.

While last season was a banner year for City, it was full of peaks and valleys for the talented Argentinian, and he will need to straighten himself out (for 38 weeks) if his club plans on repeating as champions. The talent is there, but where will Carlos' head be? One thing is for sure, it'll be entertaining as heck to watch and see.

Fernando Torres started to show signs of life towards the end of the season last year (yes, real human life!) and actually played pretty well for Spain during the Euros, when he made it onto the pitch. He will have to carry that momentum forward, as Champions League winning side Chelsea is now depending on him to be the marquee star they thought they were getting when they gave up £50 million for him.

Torres recently admitted that he didn't even want to play at times last year, calling it the "season from hell." Well he certainly has a chance to redeem himself this year, by stepping up for Chelsea while they are smack dab in the middle of the spotlight.

On August 15th, Lukas Podolski claimed that Arsenal will compete for the Premier League title. That afternoon, Robin van Persie transferred to Manchester United. Now it is up to Podolski to fill the void left behind by RvP if he wants to make good on his prediction that Arsenal will be among the league's elite.

Podolski obviously has some big shoes to fill, and we'll have to watch and see if the slipper fits for Arsenal's new leading man.

It didn't take long for Nikica Jelavic to make himself comfortable in the Prem. Despite making his Everton and Premier League debut in January, Jelavic was able to make an immediate impact and was named Premier League player of the month in April.

With Jelavic leading the charge for an entire season, can Everton rise above last year's mid table finish?

We all recall the exact moment Papiss Cisse put himself, and his upstart Newcastle club, on the Premier League map when he banged in a spectacular, slicing goal against Chelsea for which he should be serving a life sentence for breaking every single one of Newton's laws.

Under Cisse's law however, Newcastle finished a surprising and impressive 5th place, while establishing itself as a formidable side in the Premier League. Can Cisse & Co. keep it up this season and break into a Champions League spot?

Clint Dempsey dazzled the league last year as he proved that American boys can play a little bit of soccer, too. Clint was on fire for Fulham, as he scored 17 goals (9 of those in less than a month) and propelled Fulham to one of their best finishes in years.

Dempsey revealed he wants out at Fulham, however without any suitors jumping at the chance to sign him, it's uncertain where the American star will end up. But no matter which kit he puts on this season, Dempsey is one to watch.

Brendan Rodgers expects his Liverpool club to compete for a top four finish in the Premier League. If that is going to become a reality, the Reds are going to need a legendary performance from this guy, Luis Suarez. In what is an extremely important season at Anfield, the Liverpool striker will be tasked with leading one of the Prem's most storied franchises back to prominence -- even relevance will do.

It will be interesting to see how Suarez responds in a time when his club and new coach desperately need him.

Gareth Bale has unfinished business with Tottenham Hotspur. While Spurs finished 4th in the Premier League, usually good enough to lock up a Champions League position, there will be no Champions League soccer for this club due to Chelsea's automatic qualification despite their 6th place finish. In a summer full of transfers (including his former 'mate Luka Modric), Gareth Bale chose to stay at White Hart Lane where he will be on a mission to earn his club the Champions League berth he feels they deserve.

Eden Hazard was one of the major prizes in this summer's transfer market, who spurning the likes of Manchester United and City to ply his trade for the Blues as they set out to defend their Champions League title. Now he will try to live up to his rumored transfer fee of £32 million as he teams up with Fernando Torres as Chelsea tries to speed up their style of play.

Will Hazard be the right fit for Di Matteo and Chelsea? We'll have to wait and see.

'Super Mario' is constantly making headlines. This season, Manchester hopes at least a majority of those headlines will be made on the field. That is certainly possible is Balotelli continues the stellar form he showed during Italy's run to the Euro 2012 final. When focused, Balotelli is the cream of the crop.

The obvious issue here is whether or not Balotelli can stay out of trouble and turn his incredible talent into results for City. They will certainly need him this year if they want to defend their Prem title from Robin van Persie and the gang from United.

Is it possible? Wayne Rooney is no longer the best striker on his own team? Choosing between Rooney and RvP is like splitting hairs, they are option 1a and 1b. One thing is for sure though, Rooney will always be United's most beloved.

The main development to watch at Old Trafford this year (besides plenty of spectacular goals), is the ability for Rooney and RvP to co-exist as two of the best goal scorers in the Prem. How these two share (or hog) the ball will be a story line to keep track of as Man United tries to recapture the Premier League title they let slip away last season.

The Costa Rican winger had a tepid first season for Fulham. At 26, however, he is entering his prime and has acquired sufficient experience in the EPL to make a real mark.

Out with an injury last season, Wilshere, 20, should be healthy when the season starts or soon thereafter. And provided he comes back fully fit, his two-way play should make him one of the league’s dominant midfielders, as behooves a talent who made his England debut at just 18.

Such was the buzz about the now 19-year-old Belgian-Congolese Lukaku that Chelsea snapped him up for a whopping $28 million before last season. He spent most of the year on the bench but will get a chance to start while on loan with West Brom this season. Lukaku, an athletic freak of nature, is very raw, but more minutes will add polish to his game.

A pint-sized playmaker in the image of Spanish string-pullers Xavi and Andres Iniesta, Allen had Swansea playing a game last season that, improbably, resembled Barcelona’s. Poached by Rodgers, who had promised he wouldn’t take any Swans with him to Liverpool, Allen will get the chance to orchestrate an offense on the big stage.

The 23-year-old playmaker has impressed Ferguson sufficiently to be deemed the heir apparent to the ageless Paul Scholes. Kagawa will start over him, but Cleverley should get sufficient chances to break out.
