The Potters enjoyed a productive time in the transfer market, with a number of big-name arrivals making their way to the Britannia Stadium. Kenwyne Jones and Jonathan Walters were snapped up earlier in the window, while deals for Eidur Gudjohnsen, Salif Diao, Jermaine Pennant and Marc Wilson were pushed through on deadline day. All of the fresh faces have been handed a squad number by Tony Pulis for the first half of the 2010/11 campaign. The only notable absentee from the Stoke ranks is experienced striker Mamady Sidibe, who is set to be sidelined for some time with a snapped Achilles. Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic makes the cut despite reportedly pulling himself out of Carling Cup duty as speculation regarding his future intensified. The names selected by Pulis on Wednesday adhere to the new top flight guidelines that require clubs to name at least eight 'home-grown' players. Changes to the squad can be made once the transfer window re-opens in January. Stoke squad: Asmir Begovic, Danny Collins, Rory Delap, Salif Diao, Matthew Etherington, Abdoulaye Faye, Ricardo Fuller, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Danny Higginbotham, Robert Huth, Kenwyne Jones, Carlo Nash, Jermaine Pennant, Danny Pugh, Ryan Shawcross, Thomas Sorensen, Tuncay Sanli, Ryan Shotton, Tom Soares, Michael Tonge, Jonathan Walters, Glenn Whelan, Dean Whitehead, Andy Wilkinson, Marc Wilson.Trending Now
