Chelsea says a steward has been hospitalized after he appeared to be hit by an object thrown by the crowd following Javier Hernandez's winner for Manchester United in the Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea spokesman Steve Atkins says the male steward appears to have twisted a knee after falling to the ground Sunday in front of a section of Chelsea fans.
Atkins says ''we are investigating all the incidents around that time. We are looking at reports of objects that may have been thrown or incidents around the steward taking a fall.''
Hernandez scored in the 75th minute to give United a 3-2 win and end Chelsea's unbeaten start in the league.
