Marcelo Bielsa has agreed to remain coach of Chile's national soccer team until 2015.

Chilean soccer federation president Harold Mayne-Nicholls says the Argentine-born coach would be free to name his assistants. His contract expired July 31.

Playing in its first World Cup since 1998, Chile reached the final 16 in South Africa before losing 3-0 to rival Brazil.
