''I've been through hell,'' Elin said. ''It's hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden - was it a lie? You're struggling because it wasn't real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn't kill me.''

Elin Nordegren's marriage to Tiger Woods is officially over and she gave a wide-ranging, candid interview to People to finally address lingering questions about the last nine months.

''Forgiveness takes time. It is the last step of the grieving process,'' said Elin, on whether she'll ever forgive Tiger.
 

''There was never any violence inside or outside our home,'' Elin said. ''The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous.''
 

Elin  and Sam joined Tiger on the sidelines for Stanford's football game against Cal, just a week before the fateful accident turned their lives upside down.

''I'm so embarrassed that I never suspected - not a one. For the past 3 1/2 years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school,'' said Elin.
