Despite playing in just six official events in '08, the world's greatest golfer still managed to win four times, finish 2nd at the Masters and take home over $5.5 million in prize money. But it was his heroic performance at the U.S. Open which added to his already enormous legend. Playing on one leg, he outlasted the field, hit a clutch birdie putt on the 72nd hole to force a playoff and held off a valiant performance from PGA Tour plodder Rocco Mediate in one of the most memorable 19 holes in the history of golf. There is no question in my mind that Tiger Woods is the biggest winner in 2008. — David Berlin
