On Sunday, Brady and his recently-repaired ACL threw five touchdown passes -- in the second quarter.
Remind you of someone? (That isn't a tough one, being of the $100 Celebrity "Jeopardy" nature.)
Who is ... Tiger Woods?
Ding ding.
Please note: The only time you should question Tiger Woods, or Tom Brady for that matter, is when providing Alex Trebek with a correctly-phrased answer (or question) on "Jeopardy."
Still, way too many scribes, bloggers, fans, cartoon characters and sea turtles questioned Tiger Woods this season, especially after he didn't win in his first two events and missed the cut at the British Open.
Will he ever be the same?
Ding-dongs.
Go make Emancipation Proclamations to your friends about Kerry Collins and Rocco Mediate.
Declaring guys like Tiger and Tom (living, breathing sports legends with less than 12 gray hairs apiece) as donezo puts you right about in the same category as the father of "Balloon Boy" aka "Bologna Boy."
We'll take "Birdbrained Bulletins" for $10,000,000, Alex.
"Blowing out ACLs is definitely not a bond you want," Woods said last month at the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Having their blown-out ACLs blown out of proportion seems to be another story.
FYI: Only if the PGA Tour doesn't move Justin Timberlake's event to the FedEx Cup schedule in 2011 will we admit that Tim Finchem doesn't know how to bring sexy back.
Golf in the Games

One thought about golf in the Olympics: Seems like a single 72-hole stroke-play event will decide the gold medalist in 2016, which to us only makes fencing look more attractive.
While we would still like to see college golf go to separate individual and team championship events, the current format of the men's NCAA Championship might work best for Olympic golf at the moment: 54-hole stroke-play qualifying after which the individual champion is crowned and eight teams advance to a match-play championship.
But really, what's stopping the Olympics from separate events?
Gymnastics hands out about 56,782 different medals over the two-week period.
Hosting a 72-hole stroke-play event at the beginning of the week and a 36-hole qualifying/16-team match-play bracket at the end of the week hardly seems like a difficult proposition, and give the event a chance to get a lot more players involved.
As of now we can only look forward to the IOC/WGC Championship at Brazil.
