Golf legend Greg Norman married tennis icon Chris Evert on Saturday in a seaside ceremony in the Bahamas, Reuters reported. While the wedding was held under extremely tight security, People magazine reported that the two were wed in front of 140 family members and friends.
Media reports have said that the couple spent up to $2 million on the lavish nuptials.
The newlyweds boast 20 major championships between them, with Evert contributing 18 to that total and Norman two. Both athletes are now in their second marriages after lengthy first marriages ended in divorce.

Chrissy I have always loved...Norman on the other hand I have a major problem with. It seems in a pro-am he arrived at the first tee in a helocopter and then proceeded to play 18 holes without even talking to his ameteur players. I the end one of the gentlemen apologized for his play to Norman who commented about him stinking up the joint and that his major problem was "loft" which he eloquently stated meant "lack of f....talent and then just walked away without any communication what so ever with anyone in the 4 some....true story

article said both couples were coming out of second marriages. I think this was Chris Evert is celebrating her third marriage. Her first husband was a tennis player from England.

Wow, I never heard about the whole Norman the abuser! I'll take you guys word for it and say, how sad, . . . I always was a fan of the shark, but if the things people are saying about him are true, then it sure takes off a whole lot of "cool points" from Norman! Maybe THAT is why he feels the way he does about staying away from golf! Maybe it was just too intence for him. From what I gather, he's actually not too happy with golf anymore! I know they (the Champions Tour) are trying very hard to pressure him to join and every statement I've heard from him, he really doesn't seem to be very interested and almost resentful of the game itself. But that's just my observation! I better put that in there before some know it all with his facts and stats comes out and ask where I got my information from.

Like Norman until I saw him at Royal St. George abuse his caddy twice. My opinon of him severely dropped. No one, for any amount of money deserved to be hit with a ball by Norman or anyone else!

In a world filled with hatred and violence, its a delight to hear such news. Two of the apparently nicest ambassadors for their sports deserve the congratulations of any true sports person.. GOOD LUCK!!

As an Aussie now living in the USA, it is great news for both of them. Greg has always been a great ambassador for the golfing world, as Chris Evert has been to the tennis world. Greg does many wonderful things, behind the scenes, does not like the media praising him. He does a lot for charities & has helped Australia Golf & Juniors immensely. Well done Greg, & the best of luck to the both of you.

Had the pleasure of meeting Greg Norman's wife , or ex-wife and a tournament and she was so gracious and a gorgeous woman..The four of them were best friends and all of it leaves a bad taste in my mouth..especially him locking the mother of his kids out of their house.

Get your facts straight! This is Chris Everts' third marriage! He was married to a tennis player whose last name was Lloyd, then to Mill and now Norman.

How hard did she try to keep her marriage on track?

Interesting -- the article above mentions neither of Chris' exes by name -- if everyone here is bent on Lloyd (pretty sure that is who they were thinking of, given that yes, that was her name for quite some time) it's more likely Downhill Mill they forgot about, regardless of the fact they actually have kids together. In any case, congrats -- perhaps third time is a charm. So many frogs to trudge through! ;)

It is amazing how much veryone here knows about the lives of 2 people you have probaly never even met and would probaly never be allowed to meet. Ive always liked Chris Evert. And Ive always thought Greg Norman has been unfairly lambasted for choking(the medias words, not MINE) in many majors. I wish them both the best of luck, though it will be a challange, given how famous they both are.
