Notes: The tournament returned to the tour last year. First played in 1986, it folded in 2006 after the previous organizers accused then-US LPGA Tour commissioner Carolyn Bivens of providing three unsuitable dates for the 2007 event. Bivens resigned in July 2009 after a group of players wrote a letter to the tour's board of directors calling for her to quit. She was replaced by Michael Whan. ... Suzann Pettersen won the last official event, beating Cristie Kerr 1-up on May 22 in the Sybase Match Play Championship at Hamilton Farm. ... Michelle Wie has four top-10 finishes in six starts this year. ... Alexis Thompson received a sponsor exemption. The 16-year-old pro tied for 19th in the Mobile, Alabama, event after taking a share of the lead into the final round. ... The LPGA State Farm Classic is next week in Springfield, Illinois.
