JGR Finish: Tony Stewart (First -- running), Denny Hamlin (17th -- running), J.J. Yeley (37th -- running) Tony Stewart won the Pepsi 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway to score the 50th Nextel Cup win for Joe Gibbs Racing. Stewart dominated the 160-lap race, as he put his No. 20 Home Depot Chevrolet at the front of the field six times for 86 laps to score his second victory of 2006. The win was also Stewart's second straight in the Pepsi 400, and in those two wins, Stewart has led 237 of 320 laps (74 percent). Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 11 FedEx Home Delivery Chevrolet, finished 17th, and after being involved in a late race accident, J.J. Yeley, driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Chevrolet, finished 37th, two laps down. Stewart continues to lead the trio of JGR drivers in the championship point standings. Stewart gained two spots to climb to fifth, 299 markers arrears series leader Jimmie Johnson. Hamlin and Yeley occupy the 10th and 29th positions, respectively. Hamlin picked up one spot while Yeley dropped two positions. Kyle Busch finished second, while Kurt Busch, Boris Said and Elliott Sadler secured the rest of the top-five. Matt Kenseth, Casey Mears, Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer rounded out the top-10. The next event on the Nextel Cup schedule is the July 9 USG Sheetrock 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill. The race begins at 3:35 p.m. EDT with live coverage provided by TNT.
