Position: Running Back College: Southern California Height: 6-1 Weight: 219 40-yard dash: 4.35 Bench press: 445 Hometown: Encino, Calif. It's hard to imagine any other running back in the draft who has struggled more to get to this point than Fargas. Beginning his collegiate career at Michigan, Fargas suffered a broken leg that required several rods and plates to piece it back together. Struggling to regain the quickness in his step after rehabilitation, he was moved to safety with unsuccessful results. Transferring to USC, he returned to running back and it quickly became apparent that his natural talent at that position was the best on the team. He showed superior vision and instincts, which made him as effective between the tackles as on the outside. While his receiving skills were not called upon, his athletic ability makes him a big-play threat out of the backfield. After his injury Fargas showed steady improvement; given the right system his upside is great. However, with his repaired leg, there will always be a good deal of risk involved as well.
