Notes:
  • The running of the Carquest Auto Parts 300 at Lowe's Motor Speedway will be the fifth time Kasey has competed at the 1.5-mile oval.
  • The Great Clips team is taking chassis #45 to Lowe's Motor Speedway this weekend. This will be the first time this season that chassis # 45 has raced.
  • The Great Clips team sits in 14th position in the overall NASCAR Busch Series driver point standings. Last weekend at Nazareth Speedway, the team finished 16th after starting in second position for the 200-lap race. Substitute driver Regan Smith qualified the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge on Saturday while Kasey participated in activities surrounding the NEXTEL All-Star Challenge. Because the team made a driver change, they were forced to start in the rear of the field for Sunday's Gould's Pumps ITT Industries 200 at Nazareth.

Kasey's thoughts on Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"I like racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway. I'm excited that we're racing at home this weekend. It's so close and convenient. It's always fun to race in front of a hometown crowd as well. Since we don't race in Washington, this is the next closest thing to racing in front of a hometown crowd.

"This is also a fun track to race on. You can pass anytime you want to if you have a good car, so that makes for some exciting racing. It's just a cool place, and I think the fans are going to get a good show this weekend."
