Position: College: Arizona State Height: 6-5 Weight: 319 40-yard dash: 5.21 Fun fact: Three-year starter at ASU who came to the program as a walk-on defensive end Hometown: Eloy, Ariz. Jones is the type of player who is going to make or break a team's draft. He has the perfect size, weight, strength, and experience. He has played on the left side of the offensive line for the past three years, the last two as a tackle. He has long arms and good hands, and he knows how to use them. He is able to get out and take on linebackers just as easily as he takes on ends and tackles. He has shown the ability to anchor himself and take on bull-rushers, while at the same time showing good footwork and neutralizing speed rushers. The problem with Jones is that he is not a consistent performer. At times he looks like an All-American and at others he looks seemingly lost. In fairness to him, he is still very raw, as he was a defensive lineman when he walked onto the Sun Devils team. He needs a lot of work on his technique, as complex double moves by the defense give him trouble. Jones' main weakness, though, is his consistency and concentration. He appears to lose interest at times, and that is when he looks the worst. It looked like he was more consistent this year, but he had and up-and-down performance at the Senior Bowl. He didn't do as well in the weeklong training, but then played a reasonably good game.
