Mickey York
Host

FSN Detroit's postgame editions of TIGERS LIVE, RED WINGS LIVE and PISTONS LIVE are hosted by Emmy-winning Mickey York who moved into that role with the network in June 2003 following three years as a reporter. He also has served as anchor or lead reporter on special editions during the Tigers 2006 run to the World Series, the Pistons participation in the NBA Finals, the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals, Michigan State at the NCAA Final Four, and Detroit's hosting of the Ryder Cup, MLB All-Star Game and Super Bowl XL. York came to FSN after four years as sports anchor/reporter at WEYI-TV (NBC), serving the Michigan cities of Flint, Saginaw and Bay City. He also has worked as a sideline reporter on Fox Sports Net's coverage of the Michigan High School Athletic Association basketball and football championships. His broadcast experience includes being a reporter/producer on Detroit Pistons projects for Palace Sports and Entertainment. York won a Michigan Emmy in June 2008 for On-Camera Talent-Sports Anchor.


Ryan Field
Reporter

Ryan Field joined FSN in September 2003 as a correspondent for the Detroit Sports Report and now serves in that role for TIGERS LIVE, RED WINGS LIVE and PISTONS LIVE. Field, a three-time Michigan Emmy winner at FSN, previously was a sports reporter at WJBK-TV (FOX 2) in Detroit since August 2000 and provided sports updates on WDFN Radio (1130 AM). His work reporting on the local teams was highlighted by capturing a Michigan Emmy in 2006 in the Sports News Feature category for his work following the collapse of Red Wings defenseman Jiri Fischer, stricken with a heart ailment during a game. Before joining FOX 2, Field was the sports director and previously weekend sports anchor at WSYM-TV (FOX 47) in Lansing. Field's television work began in 1996 as a sports intern at WILX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Lansing. His broadcasting experience includes serving as a reporter and sports talk show host at WDMB Radio (89.1 FM) in East Lansing, where he was recognized for "Best College Radio Sportscast" in 1999 by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.


Trevor Thompson
Reporter

Trevor Thompson joined FSN in June 2000, serving since that time as a correspondent for the Detroit Sports Report and now for TIGERS LIVE, RED WINGS LIVE and PISTONS LIVE. His experience at FSN Detroit has included a leading role in the network's post-game coverage during the NHL playoffs, as well as occasional hosting duties on TIGERS WEEKLY and TIGERS PREGAME, RED WINGS WEEKLY, LIONS POSTGAME EDITION and filling in as a studio anchor. Thompson joined FSN from his reporter's role at CTV Sportsnet in Toronto. Thompson captured his first Emmy in June 2007 for his work on a 2006 episode of RED WINGS WEEKLY.


Ken Daniels
Play-by-Play, Detroit Red Wings
The 2008-09 season will be the 12th for Ken Daniels as television play-by-play voice of the Red Wings on FSN Detroit, a role he also performs for the network's coverage of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. In June 2007, Daniels won a Michigan Emmy for his work on the Dec. 12, 2006 "Between the Benches" telecast during which he was positioned rinkside with a unique vantage point to describe the game between the Red Wings and Ottawa Senators. Daniels' other professional honor as a member of the FSN Detroit team came in 2004 when he was named Michigan Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He also had the privilege of providing the radio play-by-play for Game 6 of the 2008 Stanley Cup Final, filling in for the ailing Ken Kal as the Red Wings wrapped up the series at Pittsburgh.


Mickey Redmond
Analyst, Detroit Red Wings
The popular and colorful Mickey Redmond has been the analyst on FSN Detroit's coverage of the Detroit Red Wings since the network's inception in 1997, and the 2008-09 season marks 23 years overall in the team's television booth. Known for his keen analytical eye for the game, Redmond's broadcast resume also includes having worked national telecasts for FOX Sports, ABC, ESPN, ESPN International and CBC Hockey Night in Canada. Redmond played nine NHL seasons including five in Detroit, a stint that included two 50-goal seasons. He scored 52 goals and was a NHL First Team All-Star in 1972-73, following that up with 51 goals and a NHL Second Team selection in 1973-74.


Larry Murphy
Analyst, Detroit Red Wings
Four-time Stanley Cup winner and Hockey Hall of Famer Larry Murphy is the analyst on selected Red Wings road telecasts on FSN Detroit, a role he began in 2003-04. He also provides analysis on RED WINGS LIVE, as well as season preview and playoff preview specials on FSN. Murphy played 21 NHL seasons, including being on Red Wings Stanley Cup winning squads in 1997 and 1998. He also won Stanley Cups with Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992. One of the game's best all-time offensive-minded defensemen, Murphy was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.


Mario Impemba
Play-by-Play, Detroit Tigers
The 2008 season is the seventh for Mario Impemba as FSN's Tigers play-by-play announcer, having earned a Michigan Emmy in June 2006 in the Sports Play-by-Play category. Impemba, a Detroit native and graduate of Michigan State University, joined FSN after seven seasons as the radio and fill-in television play-by-play man for the Anaheim Angels. Prior to joining the Angels in 1995, Impemba spent four seasons (1991-94) calling games for the Tucson Toros of the Pacific Coast League. From 1989-90, he was the voice of the Quad City Angels single-A team in Davenport, IA. Impemba spent 1987-88 in Peoria, IL, where he announced games for the Peoria Chiefs single-A baseball club; served as sports director at WXCL Radio; and did play-by-play for the Peoria Rivermen of the International Hockey League.


Rod Allen
Analyst, Detroit Tigers
The 2008 season is the sixth as Tigers analyst on FSN for Rod Allen, who played briefly for the 1984 World Champion Tigers. His work in the FSN booth earned him consecutive Michigan Emmys awarded in 2006 and 2007 in the Sports Analyst category. Allen joined FSN after five seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks as television and radio analyst, the latest facet of his 28-year pro baseball career. In addition to his work with the Diamondbacks, Allen provided analysis in 2001 on FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL regional telecasts and the National League Divisional Series between the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros.


John Keating
Host, RED WINGS LIVE Pregame & TIGERS LIVE Pregame
An original member of the FSN Detroit lineup, the versatile and multiple Emmy-winning John Keating hosts Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers pregame shows -- RED WINGS LIVE and TIGERS LIVE. He has also served in a lead role for FSN's postgame coverage during the Red Wings Stanley Cup Playoff runs, as well as the Tigers 2006 journey to the World Series. Keating served in a similar role as host of Game Night on PASS in 1996-97. He spent more than a decade, 1985-96, working in Denver, concluding as studio host of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche radio networks. Raised in Madison Heights, MI, Keating began his broadcasting career while a student at Grand Valley State University, rising through the ranks of the student run radio station from broadcaster to News Director to Station Manager. Keating has won five Michigan Emmys during his time at FSN Detroit.


George Blaha
Play-by-Play, Detroit Pistons
A local broadcasting icon and one of the most recognizable personalities in Detroit and the NBA, George Blaha begins his 32nd consecutive season as thte team's primary TV and radio voice -- the second season with FSN Detroit. The "Voice of the Pistons" is the longest tenured play-by-play announcer in the state of Michigan following the retirement of legendary Detroit Tigers broadcaster Ernie Harwell. Blaha brings a high-energy style to go with his extensive basketball knowledge and demonstrates a true passion for Pistons basketball. His trademark colloquialisms such as, "2 and 22 to play" and "a high glass gun that goes" have thrilled Pistons fans of all ages for three-plus decades. Blaha was named Michigan Sportscaster of the Year in 2008 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.


Greg Kelser
Analyst, Detroit Pistons
The 2007-08 season is the 11th for Greg Kelser as analyst on FSN's coverage of the Detroit Pistons. Kelser has done TV or radio work on Pistons games since 1988. Prior to his stint with FSN, Kelser called five seasons of Pistons games on PASS Sports. Kelser played five NBA seasons, including a brief stint with the Pistons who drafted him in 1979, shortly after he joined with Earvin "Magic" Johnson to bring a NCAA title to Michigan State University. Kelser was one of six recipients in 2004 of the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award, recoginzing former student-athletes who have distinguished themselves since completing their college careers 25 years ago. He was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.


Matt Shepard
Play-by-Play, CCHA & WNBA / Host: Lions Press Conference
Matt Shepard is a versatile member of the FSN Detroit on-air team, whose duties include hosting the weekly LIONS LIVE: Rod Marinelli Press Conference and serving as play-by-play announcer for FSN presentations of the CCHA and the WNBA Detroit Shock. Shepard also contributes stories for TIGERS LIVE, RED WINGS LIVE and PISTONS LIVE, as well as Tigers Weekly, Red Wings Weekly and CCHA All Access.


Fred Pletsch
Analyst, CCHA
Serving as analyst on FSN Detroit's college hockey coverage is Fred Pletsch, who also serves as Director of Marketing and Communications for the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. Pletsch's broadcast experience includes being play-by-play announcer for the NHL Ottawa Senators and the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche. His involvement as many levels of hockey included three years as commissioner of the North American Hockey League (Junior "A").


Shireen Saski
Reporter
Three-time Michigan Emmy winner Shireen Saski serves as a feature correspondent for FSN Detroit, providing reports for various shows including Red Wings Weekly, Tigers Weekly, CCHA All Access, TIGERS LIVE and RED WINGS LIVE. She also serves as rinkside reporter on the network's presentation of CCHA hockey. Prior to joining FSN in 1999, Saski spent four years as a Dallas-based producer for ESPN, working on various projects including college football and the NFL Draft. She was based at ESPN headquarters in Bristol, CT from 1991-94 as associate producer for numerous shows including Sunday SportsDay, SportsCenter and NBA Today. Three of her CCHA features have been honored with Michigan Emmys during her stint at FSN.
