FSN Kansas City 2008 Royals HD Schedule

Kansas City Royals fans with High Definition television service will experience Royals baseball like never before beginning this season. FSN Kansas City, the new television home of the Royals, announced today that it will televise 88 Royals games in HD in 2008. This is the first year in which select Royals games will be produced in HD.
The HD schedule starts Opening Day, Monday, March 31, when the Royals visit the Detroit Tigers. FSN Kansas City will also produce an HD telecast for the Home Opener on Tuesday, April 8, when the Royals take on the New York Yankees. Both the entire season-opening series against the Tigers and the home-opening series against the Yankees will be televised in HD.
Overall, more than 60 percent of FSN Kansas City's 140 regular-season telecasts will be produced in HD. HD programming will begin 30 minutes before game time to include FSN Kansas City's pregame and postgame show, Royals Live, which will be produced in HD on HD game nights.

"Between the 88 games in high definition and the massive HD board in Kauffman Stadium, our fans will be able to enjoy Royals baseball with all of the advantages of cutting edge technology."

An 88-game High Definition schedule for 2008 will certainly help us accomplish that goal," said Jack Donovan, FSN Kansas City General Manager and Senior Vice President.
On game nights when FSN Kansas City is producing an HD telecast the FSN Kansas City HD telecast will appear on a separate channel. Viewers should contact their cable or satellite provider to find out if FSN Kansas City HD telecasts are available in their area. On those game nights a simultaneous standard-definition version will appear on the regular FSN Kansas City channel.
FSN Kansas City is entering the first season of a new, long-term agreement as the exclusive television home of Kansas City Royals baseball. FSN Kansas City will televise 140 regular season games and two spring training contests in 2008 for the most expansive Royals television schedule ever. Every regular season telecast will be surrounded by the Royals Live pregame and postgame shows.
