FSN Midwest will televise Kansas City Royals baseball in Iowa in 2008, bringing the Royals to fans across the state for the first time on the regional sports network.

Cable and satellite subscribers in Iowa that receive FSN Midwest will see approximately 45 Royals games in 2008, beginning Wednesday, April 2, when the Royals visit Detroit Tigers. Fans in Iowa will also see the Royals Live pregame and postgame shows before and after those games and other Royals programming on FSN.

In addition, FSN Midwest will continue to televise St. Louis Cardinals baseball in Iowa. Royals games will air on dates and at times that do not conflict with Cardinals telecasts on FSN Midwest.

FSN is entering the first season of a new, long-term agreement as the exclusive television home of Kansas City Royals baseball. Ryan Lefebvre and Paul Splittorff form FSN's primary play-by-play team, with Frank White calling select games in place of Splittorff and serving as an analyst on Royals Live. Joel Goldberg hosts the Royals Live pregame and postgame shows.
