This year's EMMY-winning entries for FOX Sports Detroit:
• Station Excellence: FOX SPORTS DETROIT (Greg Hammaren)
FOX Sports Detroit is once again honored for excellence in overall station operations, including serving its viewer
universe through local programming efforts.
• Sports, News Feature: MANISTEE CATHOLIC CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL (Ryan Field)
Feature that ran during the 2008 MHSAA Football Finals about the smallest football playing school in Michigan with 58 students, 19 of them on the football team.
• Sports, Program Feature/Segment: TIGERS SUPERHEROES (Ryan Field, James Joliat)
Entertaining segment from Tigers Weekly that had players to discussing who among them was most like various superhero characters.
• Sports, Program Series: CCHA ALL-ACCES, ALASKA NANOOKS HOCKEY

This two-part debut episode for CCHA All-Access in January, 2008 chronicled the passion for University of Alaska hockey which warms the frigid winter in Fairbanks.

An EMMY-winning effort chronicling the development of Red Wings hopefuls during the September prospect camp in Traverse City.

A compilation of FOX Sports Detroit's coverage of the 2008 state football championship games at Ford Field.

Half-hour conversations with Detroit sports figures such as Richard Hamilton (Pistons), Tomas Holmstrom (Red Wings), Dontrelle Willis (Tigers) and Nate Robertson (Tigers) earned the EMMY in this category.
• Community / Public Service Campaign: BLACK HISTORY MONTH (Michael Fitzsimmons)
Recognized for a series of 30- and 60-second tributes taped at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit that aired throughout February, 2008 to celebrate Black History Month.
• Promotion/Image, Station: APRIL IN THE D (Joey Curry, Ena Fleming, Stephen Hill)
The promo campaign for FOX Sports Detroit's "April in the D", celebrating the city's passion for sports.
• Editor, Short Form (Promos, PSAs, Commercials, Opens, etc.): FOX SPORTS DETROIT AT OUR BEST (Stephen Hill)
This promo touted all of the teams and exciting action carried throughout the year on FOX Sports Detroit.
• Editor, Sports: PISTONS TEASES (Stan Fracker)
Compilation of attention-grabbing scene-setters to begin Pistons telecasts on FOX Sports Detroit.
• On Camera Talent/Performer, Narrator: CCHA ALL-ACCESS (Michael Kosta)
Kosta earned the EMMY in this category for his energetic and entertaining hosting of CCHA ALL-ACCESS.
• On Camera Talent, Program Host / Moderator: TREV TAKES ON (Trevor Thompson)
Thompson usually loses his one-on-one duels with Red Wings players in his "Trev Takes On" segments, but picked up the EMMY for the educational and entertaining execution of the segments.
