Chiefs players pay respect to Manning

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as the Chiefs were on the losing end of a 17-9 decision against the Denver Broncos. It may have been the 8th consecutive loss for Kansas City, but at least this time it was at the hands of the second-winningest quarterback in NFL history.
Peyton Manning. The commercial icon. The Super Bowl Champ. The four-time MVP. The future Hall of Famer. You know, not Matt Cassel.
The loss, however, didn't stand in the way of Charles and Bowe paying their respects to one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Local Kansas City television outlet KCTV5 interviewed both players after witnessing them each seek out Manning postgame. Charles was looking for an autograph for his mother, while Bowe was interested in a personal picture with a "legend."
Bowe told KCTV5, "It's a legend, I guess. It's Peyton Manning. Who wouldn't want a picture with him? If you had an opportunity, would you take it?"
There is little to smile about during a 1-10 season. Unless, of course, you are posing with Peyton Manning.
