McGruder helped K-State extend its winning streak to five games with victories over South Dakota (70-50) and No. 22/21 Oklahoma State (73-67). He recorded 21.5 points per game on 48.6 percent (17-of-35) shooting, including 50 percent (8-of-16) from beyond the arc. He also averaged 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals in 36.5 minutes per contest. Against OSU, he posted 26 of his 28 points in the second half, the most points by a Wildcat after halftime since Jan. 31, 2009 (Denis Clemente). It was McGruder's 16th career 20-point effort as he reached double figures in his team-best 10th outing, including five in a row.
